Go home last night and wanted to get a Crota run in since I was out of town for business week one when Crota challenge came out. I check friends list, some are on and most are already in Crota. Cool!! LFG it is!! It is Crota, this should take 30 minutes or so.
I find a group that needs one and send a message asking if they are still needing someone. YES WE ARE! Sweet! I join up and drop in. We run the abyss, I end being the last one alive. No biggie, I get across and now the bridge part. We all call out numbers to go over and first sword drops but the bridge is glitchy and doesn't fully form so sword disappears. Next sword, someone randomly grabs it and goes across. Same for the second. Slowly it is turning into a shit show.
Two people are across and I go, kill my gate keeper and notice that one is still alive. I hear random ghetto voice say, "O bra, u not killa da guy. Who da not killa guy?" YOU DIDN'T MORON! We end up making it through and down the hall to the Death Singer.
Someone asks if everyone knows what to do and if they are ready? Two idiots are already running down the hall. First try, we miss the challenge. Stats screen shows I have 25 kills and the nest person is 7 with one person having 0 kills. We respawn and I look around to everyone and their weapons they are using. I see Hungers of Crota, Jelly Porn, and primaries. I ask if everyone has a sword. I get mumbles.
We rinse repeat 6 more times and then people just leave with no warning. This is CROTA!!!!! How are you too stupid to know what to do with Crota mechanics and what weapons to use to kill fast with? Why do you idiots feel that you have to go on LFG and lie about what you know. If you are honest and tell people that you don't know what you are doing, most will help you.
Discard salt below from idiots if need be!

Honesty. That's all it takes. People are more likely to help you if your straight with them. I'm no god but if I could sherpa people that would be my only rule: DON'T LIE

Why don't bungie give none raid players a chance to get raid weapons?

Edited by Rydrago: 4/27/2017 3:28:52 PMI ran crota on Tuesday with 5 randoms (all 400 & not to mention that 2 people said they didn't have mics but could still hear us) and it started off really slow, once we were at the bridge several times the person going accross couldn't find the gatekeeper or kill him when they did. Eventually we got to the Ir Yüt and I asked if everyone knew the challenge and everybody said yes, after about a minute or so we realized that we had to wipe and while we're jumping off we got our non-challenge loot, I come to see that 3 of our guys had killed the deathsinger. When we confronted them they left without a word.
I always check for experience now because even 400 doesn't cut it now
2 RepliesI did VoG when it was the raid. Went through with one group on my Warlock, and did the whole relic thing. No big deal - Templar goes down in a couple of attempts. A few days later I join a group of 3 warlocks, 1 titan and 1 hunter. I have my titan, and naturally both titans are defenders. I ask: "Who is running relic?" What I hear is a deafening silence... Finally people start talking, and no one has ever run relic before. No one. Ever. Touchy relic. Ever. And according to this group, they were "Day 1 players"... I tell them a self res sunsinger should run relic just in case something happens to them as they are jumping from point to point. They tell me if I am familiar with it that I should do it. Instead of arguing I decide to run the points as a titan while they stay in back with WoL and just melt the Templar. After an hour of watching these guys die over and over again, I bailed. They did not want to do any real heavy lifting, nor could they stay alive with literally only the Templar firing shots at them. No one wanted to deal with ads, or be anything but self res warlocks so they could get a second shot (and still blow it), or try another method to ensure their survival. My last run, they all went down, and because of the vid someone made soloing the Templar, they were asking me to just take the 30 mins and do it myself. I have no problem helping people unfamiliar with the game, or showing people how to use a specific strat and whatnot, but I am not going to spend my free time literally one-manning raids for people. I would much rather be in crucible or some other endgame activity than that.

We played CROTA with 2 randoms and ( just like you) got to Deathsinger and WHAM! We are struggling mysteriously. We decided to check our randoms out. Both were bad but one guy was 380, all blue armor 😆 and a blue sniper. Also wasted exotic slot on primary. They always s scold us for asking requirements for LFG but see what happens when we don't🤓

4 RepliesBecause if they told the truth a majority of time the group leaders/members wouldn't give them the time of day to even attempt it. Don't get me wrong, that's no excuse for lying about it, but people wouldn't do it if most of the groups didn't immediately kick anyone that doesn't know how to solo each area with the Kvostov you get at the beginning of the game.

Edited by Platcastone83: 4/27/2017 2:44:32 PMI think you forgot after deathsinger wipes you still had 3:02 left on your heavy cool down☺. Look for a group that says will kick if you die, but then again you figure you would be ok being croata and all. I also hate lfg just wait until aksis challenge, then you will really be disappointed!

1 ReplyWell it's called karma, and the fact you are using LFG does not help as it's become more toxic than usual... :p

1 ReplyI've always equated LFG posts to an employer posting for a job. Going along with that, why do people lie on job resumes? They don't have the experience but they are arrogant enough to think they can do the job. And also don't have the integrity or moral compass to not lie.

1 ReplyIf you weren't a scrub you would have just soloed that shit.

5 RepliesWhy not?

5 RepliesThey lie because they know that people don't have the patience to teach people now. For example you could have explained the encounter to these guys but you didn't.

You know we can look up stats right? Well, your raid "experience" consists of 18 kills and 1 death *que Maury* so to the 25 kill statement, THAT WAS A LIE And you have never completed crota before according to the stats linked to your profile as well.....lol Side note.....only a noob would get carried flawless once and then immediately throw the emblem on every character he has to try to deceive others into thinking he's good at pvp, man there is so much wrong with this post....

Edited by ArticularAlloy: 4/26/2017 10:03:41 PMI would rather have someone say "I have no idea what to do" than waste my time. Nothing like asking for experienced people for Challenge Mode only to get into the Raid and it's obvious they have no idea what they're doing. Challenge Mode is NOT for the inexperienced. You don't learn a Raid when Challenge is active, that is what Normal Raid is for. You learn, then you don't waste other people's time.
