Well someone convinced me and I decided to see what you had to say. And your post is a long excuse to why 3oC should stay. We didn't need 3oC back in yr one and all it has done is made exotics something you get every other hour. Exotics aren't supposed to be rare, but considering they're "EXOTIC", then they shouldn't be obtained by the same means as a common or rare.

Not an excuse. An explanation of why Bungie created, and what would have happened to this game if they hadn't. Nothing wrong with [i]wanting[/i] them to be trophies. But you need to understand that---without a fundamental redesign of the game's progression system---you will break the game and have people quitting the game in droves.

1. There aren't a "vast amount" of things that award exotics in this game (absent 3oCs). You only have a. Lighthouse Chests (barred to anyone who can't go flawless) b. Raid Chests (only open to those people who can put together raid teams or about 10% of the player base. c. Nightfalls (another MP activity with no matchmaking) d. Shaxx' weakly Crucible bounties. (requires PVP, and is a turn-off to many dedicated PVE players) 2. What you are asking for---then---is a MAJOR OVERHAUL of the progression system of the game. One that is far less like that of a typical shooter, and one that is far more like that of a typical (action)-RPG. Anything else, and you break the game as I described. 3. Yes it can happen. But will NEED to happen, if 3oCs is eliminated. Otherwise the game takes a gigantic leap backward.
