They have never been that rare or exciting. In year 1 most were powerful, but that has all changed. They are now unique, but not powerful. The main barrier to getting them was it required a fireteam to get most of them due to where the dropped. Three of coins was added to appease the casual and solo guardians that had very few because you can't raid, nightfall, or trials by yourself. I really don't mind them in the game. If you have a problem with them, easy, don't fuking buy them shitbird.
