The only way i would agree with this is if they actually increased the drop rates for exotics.
I DO NOT WANT TO SEE YR1 ELITISM COME BACK AGAIN.
The removal of 3oC, with out some sort of fix to exotic drops, would only bring back this kind of shitty attitude.

Have you been on LFG lately? That attitude hasn't diminished a bit.

Don't use LFG, make friends in the game. I've used LFG 3 or 4 times just because I was bored and no one was on, and in those cases, I never had issues with all the demands etc... but I realize they are out there. When VoG first dropped, I made an effort to make friends and never looked back. I have a bunch of cool friends on Destiny and never have issues doing anything.

I do have a clan and your advise is sound for those that don't. LFG is not my mainstay thank goodness. I meet all requirements, but many don't.

Its a shame that people are douches. I do understand when a new raid drops that people want a good squad to team up with. I guess we are lucky that we already have one, but it takes a little effort. It seems as if some people don't want to put that in. I truly believe Bungie doesn't have matchmaking for raids, nightfalls and trials because of how many people out there that won't put on a mic and are asses, which would in turn ruin the experience for others.

Agreed. It is tough enough trying to get unit cohesion in a LFG group, no way matchmaking would work consistently. As an aside for others, "Forever The Fearless" is always recruiting on XBONE.

I never liked the elitist attitudes either, but you have to know that even if there were [i]no[/i] exotics in the game [i]at all[/i] people would still act like asshats. If it wasn't Gjallahorn it would be , "Must have Hunger of Crota." Actually I think I might have seen that one at some point. But I think 3oC should go. Exotics should be hard to get, not necessarily Outbreak Prime difficulty, but there should be a quest for each one. They should also feel exotic and not just gimmicky, but that's another conversation. Exotics should be earned every time, and the rewards should feel worthy to the challenges completed to get it. Sorry to disagree with you, but bad attitudes aren't going to go away no matter how much access you have to weapons in the game. Even if everyone had every gun in the game they'd demand an emblem, or shader, or specific roll on your weapons/armor. Eventually they'd start demanding you have XX number of completions or you can't join. The stupidity [i]will[/i] continue.
