Some bungie employees need permabanned for lying to the customers saying that they're banning cheaters when you can see they aren't. Anyone who knowingly plays with a red bar is a cheater, those who let them on their fire teams are cheaters. It's not that hard a concept to grasp. If you're a red bar and it doesn't improve go to orbit and wait until you go green and stay green.

Allow me to use the banhammer. Idk what it is, but cheats and hackers are drawn to me. I put up with these pricks 90% I go in The Crucible. Give me a banhammer I can use, and I'll have half the hacks and cheats on destiny gone inside a week

Let's hope that being good at the game is no longer means for punishment and that laggy teleporting cheats are no longer rewarded with invincibility. Let's hope people who ddos and exploit are punished quickly. Let's hope dedicated servers are on the menu and not baked potatos. Let's hope that skill is rewarded and and not the guy going 1-15 getting the loot. Let's hope bungie have learned their lessons, now that the 3 year Beta is coming to a close. Fix the lag. Flush that smelly SBMM turd down the toilet once and for all. Most importantly; don't lie. We kow this game better than you. We are better at it. We fill the gaps you miss. Find the exploits you can't find. Don't belittle us with lies about 0.04%. Don't tell us SBMM doesn't exist and then say you're adjusting SBMM 6 months later. Don't tell us to do strikes when we try and explain to you that crucible is a laggy, miserable experience. Listen. Learn. Grow and be Honest. And for the love of all that is good and holy, don't nerf fusion rifles.

I guess he's going to eclipse that 150 player estimate easily at this rate. That's also 77 instances of criminal conduct. How long before you grow some balls and do what's right?

I'm thinking they use some form of cbmm along with sbmm. like any one in the 0-25 Mbps and the 25-50 Mbps, etc. because I see all this red bar hate all the time and I just don't see it. Now this might be condescending, but to some of you maybe your parents pay for shit Internet. I'm just throwing that out there. Also, 50mbps isn't considered good, that's below average. Edit: I know now that speeds have nothing to do with this issue. I'm not a tech savant at all. I was just spit balling. I maintain that my connection to other users is fine compared to what all others are saying. I just don't see the red bars as much as others.

Ran into 3 cheaters in toO this afternoon. Every game they played had only 1-2 people on the other team. As soon as we spawned I was kicked to orbit and off destiny completely. Anyway to report them other than chaff ass in game reporting? They can clearly look at their past games played

8 RepliesEdited by Racebum: 4/17/2017 10:06:21 AMThe distance between players is most of the time the entire problem. when I play with other friends of mine that all live on the west coast the matches are really good. when you add in the east coast it gets a bit slower but it still is often tolerable. Once you bring in Canada or get into other countries all bets are off. This gets to be especially Troublesome if you play late at night or you have friends that are exceptionally skilled and get in top 1% matches.

1 Replywhat are your criteria for handing out temporary restrictions and bans? Exactly what happens when we report in game a player with bad internet? I have reported hundreds, maybe thousands of players in the last couple years.. and I see some of them game after game, weeks later and even months later.. you recognize some of these gamer tags and it is infuriating. Further, what is the minimum required speed for your game to work at optimal levels?

1 ReplyCozmo, You realize most don't take Bungie's "banhammer" seriously right? This "play nice" non-sense does nothing to remedy the increasing cheating that occurs with your employer's game. Perhaps more permanent bans instead of slaps on the wrist need to occur.

No dedicated servers means no D2 for me. Now dont get me wrong i really enjoy this game, pvp,pve everything. With that said im not willing to go through all this lag again in D2. Dedicated servers bungie. Do it.

Players are better off reporting cheaters or suspected cheaters through console. Im on xb1 and over the last 3 years xbox has replied to my inbox that they have taken action against people i reported, 8 times this has happened. I know for sure at least 4 are for hatemail, the other 4 im not sure.

To everyone who says this is just PR, it partly is. To everyone complaining that they've reported cheaters over and over. You reported a dude who red barred or perhaps appeared to red bar because you connection bogged down and you red barred. If I was banned for every instance of having a red bar I wouldn't have made it out of year 1. Just because someone red barred doesn't make them a lag switcher. Though I won't say that cheating doesn't occur, it occurs a hell of a lot less then this over sensitive community says it does. I've reported people for having a bad connection and I've been reported. I've never had a ban because I wasn't cheating. In conclusion a.k.a. the end, unless your whole team was booted and you can't access the internet without restarting your router or they outright tell you they were cheating just report them for bad connection and get on with your lives.

This sounds more like a PR move to ensure customers that you guys are taking a lot of action on cheating and manipulation and poor service. We are just supposed to take your word yet when we play it still happens a lot. Maybe I'm just a skeptical bastard, but I don't think the banhammer has been dropped on very many people at all.
