WHAT Is Going On With MATCHMAKING?
Just when you thought Bungie had a good idea to decrease the number of playlists...they destroy the matchmaking balance completely. And give us even more lag.
I swear if Bungie crucible developers tried to make a sandwich the bread would end up in the middle with the tomato as the bread on the outside.
So frustrating man. FAQ.
*Iron Banner is no exception. Utterly terrible.

what exactly do ppl refer to when saying mm is screwed? over the past 2-3 weeks my crucible xp has been the worst ever but im not sure its from mm..i get hit with obnoxious TTKs, dudes appearing in thin air just in time to kill me (that 1 really pisses me off), what else..basically unloading on other players without inflicting damage..and..taking what feels to b much more damage than usual..but i dont kno the source of all this, i didnt alter my internet in any way..am i simply facing better players than the past?

8 RepliesI was doing the weekly Rift bounty at the weekend. Here is a summary of the required 7 matches: 1. Normal game 2. Put in mid game and was Ice Breakered at spawn followed by Shaxx saying "I've had enough, I'm calling it" - Nice for my k/d 3. Put in mid game "Heavy ammo inbound" - Shaxx called it again after about 1 min. 4. Normal game 5. Matched with utter pro's - Shaxx called it AGAIN 6. & 7 were normal. Because of the 50 primary kills, I had to do 12 Rift games due to the above nonsense. Clearly, something is wrong with MM - Will Bungie invest time and money to fix with D2 around the corner? Unlikely. I can only imagine what Iron Banner will be like tomorrow!!

I got babooned sooo much yesterday, and 100% of the time, my rando team was ahead. NOT 1 time did I get babooned was my team down. Check teams on pop up, always 1 red bar on other team, and what do u know, ALWAYS 1 of the many fireteam members that have same clan. What do you cheaters do, call each other up and discuss what shit of players u are, and decide to cheat to save your k/d? No skill, no honor, useless PoS.

Iron Cheat-a-thon is underway... first and only match so far, team of 4 redbars lagging all over, not taking damge, the usual... not fun to spend more time reporting cheaters than playing. may as well stick to raids

1 ReplyIron lagfest should be avoided like a Siva-esque plague. I usually avareage a 1.0 KD. 3 matches Inna row I get lagging so bad that people are teleporting clear across the map. Best round so far was almost a .60 KD.

There probably aren't enough people left playing Destiny PvP to consistently get good connections between players. Unless Bungie decides to be super nice and switch over to dedicated servers this far into the game's life cycle, it probably won't get much better.

Yeah iron banner is really bad. Constant red bars always on the opposite team. Really the worst it's been ever! :(

If I have to guess I'd say the PVP population is dwindling (just a guess) and Bungie is implemented some sort of International matchmaking.

Our initial tests also showed that mayo was performing too well, so we have cut back on it by 73%. We have buffed the greenness of the Lettuce since our data shows that people prefer green lettuce over crispy lettuce After last rebalance concerning sesame seeds, buns have been quite popular, so we have reduced the fluffiness of the bread by 42.3% to compensate. And lastly in order to promote the usage of other kinds of tomato, we have put red, yellow, green, and brown tomatoes into our RNG machine to be randomly given to each sandwich.
