I pre ordered Destiny 2, therefore according to the self proclaimed "gaming industry experts" on this forum I've killed the entire gaming industry by simple pre ordering one game. Ask the gaming industry killer anything

1 ReplyI pre-ordered. Unless the gameplay reveal shows that Destiny 2 is a RTS survival horror game, I'm pretty sure I know what I am getting. I can understand pre-ordering a new IP being risky, but sequels, not so much.

You could have at least waited for a gameplay reveal brainlet. Instead you've committed to paying for something thats unfinished and you know next to nothing about. I don't know how this kind of thing isn't illegal tbh.

It's not the gaming industry alone, it's all of basic economics. Money is worth more the sooner you get it. By preordering games, you are giving these companies more power over all consumers. In addition to that, you also encourage less transparency, less quality assurance, and more pre order/exclusivity business models because hey, you bought the game 6 months before you even saw one screenshot from it.

I generally don't preorder games but I may preorder destiny 2. After the gameplay reveal anyway.

I want to buy D2 but I just can't. I can't bring myself to face the same buggy and boring game we have now. Yes I still play Destiny but I really do regret ever buying it. It's an addiction imo. One that I see being worse with D2 than this installment. Plus with expansions already being talked about before release I want nothing to do with what might be another cookie cut game. I feel really bad for bungo I really do. First Microsoft now acti? How did they not see this coming.....

lmao. To each their ownvbur I agree that it's bad for the industry. If I just consider my own values and personal importance... I just don't want to throw money at unfinished games. We haven't even seen any gameplay, details or a solid foundation on the sequel.
