Sad Stream
I was so excited about the old elemental raid weapons coming back. Literally got my old raid group rounded up to do some runs of the old raids...
[u]Some[/u] of the old raid weapons are coming back with elemental damage and they'll be an exotic version. The only reason raid weapons were any good is not because the perks, because of elemental damage.
Without that they are just a normal gun. I already have a hand cannon with firefly, or a fully auto scout rifle.
No point in getting another if it's not special in some way.
The gear looks amazing, but seriously? Bungie obviously does not listen worth a shit.
Really doubt D2 will be worth even watching the preview for. Unless it has double the content and is a better game in general.

28 RepliesSeems they listen but don't hear. The elemental primaries are cool and all but I'm not giving up an weapon slot for an exotic that doesn't have an actual exotic perk. They should have been left as legendaries.

The weapons are actually pretty subpar except for Fatebringer and VoC if they aren't legendary with a burn. I'm certainly not going to give up my Explosive Rounds "The Wounded" for a plain jane VoC though...

Both had burns, but it was exactly the perks that made the gun great. Same thing with the epilogue, nobody used it because it was trash at the time and having a burn didn't make it any better.

Look on the bright side.....there's no point in wasting time running all the raids each week.....just the weekly challenge three times lol. They need to take the reset restriction off of them.....who cares if we run a raid 17 times in a row.....drop rates are so shitty that we still wouldn't get everything if we did three raids a day!

Destiny 1 has been like watching your favorite movie and having someone changing it slowly throughout to the shrittest end ever possible. These guys have done a great job at ruining the best game ever, Vanilla Destiny. The can't even give it back to us in a good way. All I have to say is F D2.

5 RepliesI don't completely agree with you but I get the point that most of us have better versions of the same thing if you remove the elemental properties. What that really means is why are we going to grind this shit again??? That is the thing to me. We have six months before the new game releases. Not sure how long before an open beta but still that is a long while and they really took out a hell of a chunk of why to do the raids again. See this isn't new content it is running stuff again. That will be fun for a visit back and such but to really get after it. Three runs a week kind of thing you have to have stuff to chase and believe it or not Christmas tree costumes isn't it.

Exactly. All I wanted was to run my favorite raid with my year 1 loadout. Bungie says -blam!- you. No black hammer, elemental fatebringer is exotic, and Ghorn sucks.

Would have been nice to hear them announce that they were patching all these annoying issues that have been plaguing this game. You know, like local fireteam issues! Specially since they broke them. Gonna be a hard book to complete with a broken game. But maybe thats the challenge they were looking for.

4 RepliesThey didn't say that some would get elements, they said some raid weapons were becoming exotic. Not raid primaries, they said raid weapons. And I can't be certain but I really hope this means all primaries still get burns. They so far have shown us that anguish (trailer), doom, bane, fatebringer, vision, medula, dogma, chain, edict, word (stream), and epilogue (Instagram) are all getting elements. This means at least one gun from every raid was not teased with an element, which was hopefully purely due to the fact that there were only 3 classes showing them off. There's still hope.

The two things that bother me are: - the complete silence about what is comming and what is not to Destiny 2. - Skolas left behind. Imo he is a fun "mini boss" and deserved a cool set too. Iam tho thankfull for Bungie and their passion for their game. They are giving us enough content for atleast two months.

1 ReplyMy issue is not the weapons, armor, raids, etc etc etc. my issue is the laziness that is Bungie. They are not giving us anything new. All they did was take old content, wrapped it in a higher light level, and gave it to us as new content. The bulk of this update is content that should have been brought forward with TTK and RoI. Sorry, not excited to do the same raids again.

I waited to see if they were going to reward their day one players who have held onto their old gear all this time and all I got was a middle finger and a -blam!-you. It's time to delete this game and abandon it. It was never that good, but it was fun to play, now it's about nothing but the grind.

11 RepliesThe worst thing is to acquire these weapons you need to raid. I don't know if anyone at Bungie has used an LFG for a while but it's actually more find pouring acid over your own eyes. You sit in orbit for AGES, finally go in and someone is trash, someone rage quits, more waiting... I honestly can't be bothered with it any more, it's just not fun.

Bungie did listen. They brought back elemental primaries, just with a twist. Maybe not in the raids but those primaries will replace what we use in PvE. Thats how im going to use them anyway. Only use voc for the oracles, everything else probably just gonna use in strikes, nightfall, prison of elders, etc..
