Well I'm done with Destiny until Destiny 2
Edit #2: Bungie has clarified that all 16 raid primaries are receiving adept, exotic versions.
EDIT:
There seems to be a lot of confusion on whether ALL of the raid primaries are going to receive exotic versions, or just certain weapons.
I went back and watched the stream and the reason there's confusion is because while Josh says "each of the raid primaries" or "all of the raid primaries" while referring to which weapons receive exotic versions, around 9:15 Deej makes the comment, "and while NOT ALL of the raid weapons will receive exotic adept versions...".
So either a) he was referring to special and heavies not getting exotic versions (which would've been unnecessary for him to mention the adept part since those weapons have elements by default) or b) he was saying that not every single raid PRIMARY is getting an exotic adept version.
Unfortunately we'll have to wait for clarification to find out which it is.
Also I would like to say that I don't hate everything about the update.
The record book is in my opinion something really cool.
The new armor ornaments look great (the weapon ornaments/new exotic skins to a lesser degree).
The changes to weekly rituals that they made was a great decision as well.

I was hopeful about this stream. But I should've known better. Taking away the elements from the original raid primaries is too much. Taking away Black Hammer is dumb. Making exotic "adept" versions of TWO of the raid primaries is dumb and lazy.
Destiny will be dead when when Destiny 2 comes out. People have been asking for current level versions of the old raids for two years. TWO YEARS. And when the finally come back they still find a way to screw it up. This is such a shame.
The only new content in this update is weapon and armor ornaments and 1 new armor set. That's it.

Maybe if you wait to get all the info you would save yourself from looking like a dumbass.

They stretched and padded a game with a max of 40 hours of content for 3 years and beyond TTK put very little effort into anything aside from fashion show cosmetics. Don't know a single other developer to pull that off. I guess Overwatch will probably be alive and well by year 3 as well but there is even less content there, so bungie may get decrowned at some point.

4 RepliesAll of the primaries are coming back as an adept exotic elemental weapon. As for black hammer, if it did come back it would be pretty much a legendary spindle, which would make the spindle useless :/

I have mixed feelings about D2. I want it, but I also want to keep all of my gear I've worked so hard to get. I may or may not get it.

17 RepliesNot even sure I'm picking up D2 at this point, they've horribly mismanaged this game (and are quite proud of what they've done), so there is zero reason to think for a second D2 will be any better.

5 RepliesAdding in elemental primaries for only legendary raid weapons would've screwed over any legendary primary that isn't from the raid. It crushes diversity and it makes the same mistake from Y1, where everyone is encouraged to use the same stuff to get the most. Especially with modifiers being in heroic strikes now. This still encourages other legendary primaries while implementing elemental primaries.
