Competitive PVE. I SAID IT.

Not trying to get a lot of shit talk about pve here, but right now im placed first in heroic strikes and this is my take on what I'd like to have happen in D2 for a competitive PVE event that I believe would add value and longevity to destiny pve players. 1 vs 2 other fire team members. Completely random like rumble. You start a strike and the # of precision shots, grenade kills, heavy kills, super kills, combos, etc...are all worth different amounts of points to determine the winner. If you keep using the same weapon then it would have a points cool down and not be worth as many points for a while, that way you can't spam rockets or swords, etc.. At the end the amount of total kills would also add to your overall score. For a 2nd award there would be a TEAM award only IF the fireteam ran the strike the fastest and had the most combined team points out of the entire destiny database or leader board. Some things would also need to be implemented to keep things fair. If someone dies then the amount of points the living players get are decreased while they're down, BUT if you go in for the revive then the reviver would get bonus points for a few seconds or something. That way it's an incentive to revive and you can't just sit there and hog all the kills while John Doe is dead. This would also encourage players to get more nasty with fighting aggressively and jumping in crowds and also give an incentive for the living guardian to go for the difficult revive to get those bonus points they may desperately need. Now another additive; Custom private matches should be available also for strikes and story missions just like pvp. That way we can replay the story missions at least more than we do now, which is never and have more options. Also allow us to set the enemies to max light if we want. That way more crucial decisions have to be made such as when to use rockets, supers, should you rush?, etc. Back to the pvE challenge. Pve could be kickass if this were an event. Think about it. Your guardians build would matter significantly more than ever in PVE. We hardly ever get to use our max light since current strikes cap off at like 385. weapons load outs would also matter more. Right now you can enter a strike with anything equipped and be alright, but in a competitive Manor you will need tier 5 intellect, dicipline, or strength. Or maybe grenadier on a weapon, life support, increased armor chest piece or recovery, etc... you get it. All this stuff would suddenly become vital to win. This would also add more value to the game and longevity. Right now strikes are numbing.. like solving 1+1 everyday.. it's not a challenge and now you've added daybreak strikes, which will accomplish nothing, but make it even more numbing, easy, and tiresome.. If you've never raced anyone and tried to get the most kills on pve, try it out with friends sometime and pretend you are against each other instead of on the same team. Then imagine what the other added stuff I mentioned would be like, especially if you died and no one is coming to revive you and you have to sit there and watch them be afraid to get you. One more thing.. I almost never die on strikes ACCEPT when I nade myself or blow a rocket up in my face... with that being said- it'd be cool if when we do accidentally kill ourself it said at the bottom of the screen that I killed myself to the other players, instead of making it seem like these weak ass enemies killed me, which sometimes they do if I'm playing extemely aggressive, tired, or careless. that's more of a pride thing and me not wanting to seem like I suck by the team thinking enemies killed me when it was actually me offing myself. Lol. Anyways, just my thoughts on a way to make pve kickass. Me and a lot of people already do this race and see who can get most kills. But if you implement a few more things to it and make it an actual thing -- I believe players would realize how awesome it is to play. What I call it is wrecking. Wanna wreck? I make these easy ass strikes my bitch and completely destroy enemies by getting insane combos. There is talent involved when racing and killing. You have to be more suicidal and confident in your Playability to win. Which is why im currently ranked 1 on heroics. Just how you great PvP players would wreck pve players that come on your turf. Great PvE players would wreck you at this on their turf. Believe me. Us die hard pve players know wtf we're doing when it comes to playing competitively in speed and kills on strikes. Many people play this challenge on a daily basis even tho it isn't an official event. I've beaten anyone who's ever challenged me at it. Even pvp shit talkers who thought getting the most kills competing against 2 other players took zero talent. It does when your against someone who knows how to wreck. I've demolished bashers many times, leaving them with like 20 kills vs my 200 at the end.
