Post your impressions of the trial here. I want to know what everyone thinks about it.
I'm really enjoying it so far. The combat isn't exactly amazing, but the basic gunplay is pretty good. The new automatic cover system hasn't given me any trouble. I also like the jump pack.
The story and atmosphere seem top notch from what little I've seen. It seems like they've really stepped it up when it comes to the scope of the environments. The worlds and ships feel massive and real.
My new squad mates seem cool. I've only met Liam and Cora thus far, but they seem like characters I want to get to know. The "Sam" AI is giving me vibes of the Prothean AI from Ilos in Mass Effect 1.

8 RepliesLets be honest here... PROS Brilliant Gameplay Good Gunplay A Good Story (So Far) CONS Animations (how the fùck did a Cosplayer with no Game Experience get to be lead Designer?) Bioware is trying to make it a SJW friendly game One of the Lead Designers is an Alpha Cuck who thinks all White People should Die (im being serious here)

5 RepliesNever played a Mass Effect game before, but am a fan of cover-based 3rd person shooters and RPG games. Is it much good?
-
I thought the male character looked like Alfred E. Newman from MAD magazine.

7 Replies>hey color options hair and makeup are pretty shit in the original Mass Effect trilogy. Let's throw in better hair options and a color wheel! >but let's downgrade every single other customizable face options with limitations!
-
11 RepliesWait for the game to actually launch to make your opinion.
-
I'll wait till it's out of alpha and down to $20-30 down the year to buy 👍

The combat is the same from ME 3 for me, only difference is no combat roll but jump packs, the auto cover is a bit weird for me

10 RepliesEdited by Unforgiven: 3/17/2017 9:49:10 AMAlso the dead eyes and Shrek looking females are not helping this game I dislike the game for developers pushing SJW agenda down my throat. Just because I enjoy beautiful women, doesn't make me a misogynist. I loved Mass Effect 2 and 3. Anyways, those are my first impressions.

More downgrades, more false hype, gaming is getting sad.

Edited by Unforgiven: 3/17/2017 4:41:10 AMDon't be mean but have you seen the animations? https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/223369182?sort=0&page=0

4 RepliesEdited by Martiis: 3/16/2017 7:11:22 PMCharacter creation is almost as limited as Destiny. The voice acting is downright cringy. Performance is what I expected though, it runs solid on my 3 year old 970s.

Beautiful game to me at least. And loving it

6 RepliesWithout spoiling it, can you tell me if the Archon is an intimidating antagonist, unlike Saren?
-
4 RepliesReally the only thing truly shit in this mass effect so far, are the facial animations.

I am glad I am ready this time with KS8000 and a PS4 Pro. Can't wait.

7 RepliesI had planned on jumping in tonight but see now that it'll cost an extra $5. I think I can hold off a week. Sure $5 is like nothing but it says you only get 10 hours. I'd go through that by this time tomorrow then suffer from waiting for the full release.

11 RepliesSO what is the trial is it 1hour gameplay?

8 RepliesWon't be interested if there's no Reapers.

13 RepliesMy only problem is that the character customization sucks compared to every previous entries (I'm gonna include DA:I as well). There's about 11 hairstyles for men, it may be a few more for the women, but definitely not enough. As for beards there aren't enough options. I just want a good chinstrap God damn it! I don't wanna compare games, but Inquisition had a much better character creator. I do like how you're not a well known commodity. You're a male/female that on the spot was thrown in to your position. Combat is fast and fluid. I wasn't sure how I'd feel at first with the changes, but I've quickly gotten used to it. Dialogue is much more optimistic and upbeat then it was in the OG trilogy. Which is good as Andromeda is telling a much different story. I just hit the wall in EA access and it took about 4.5 hours. I haven't even done all that much so I can see this game taking some time to complete. I think I may actually 100% it.

5 RepliesIt's pretty good so far definitely. Loving the new cover system, the more fluid movement, and the overall story so far. The game is very reminiscent of Mass Effect 1. If ME1 were made in this day and age, andromeda is what it would be like. A true return to form to a more rpg-like game, with exploring, crafting and plenty of questing. You can really tell that they were influenced by DAI, and you can also tell that they made sure to fix the biggest issues DAI had. Questing is better overall (not 100 fetch quests in a row). Combat is much more entertaining. Far more things to see and do in each area. Not gated off by getting influence (at least not from what we can play so far). I honestly feel as if I could spend up to 200 hours without getting bored. There are 2 major things I have issues with: the character customization and the animations. The CC is really lacking, no nice way to put it. The options they do have are nice, it's sufficient enough to make a decent character, but it just feels like a downgrade from inquisition. As for animations, they can be choppy at times. The worst is of course the facial animations, especially for humans (turians and salarians look fine imo, krogans are hit and miss). I'm hoping the day 1 patch fixes them considerably but I won't get my hopes up. It doesn't ruin the experience but it is noticeable. Other than that, there's a few other technical issues. I also don't really like the options for controls, wish I had button mapping so I could move melee off of Y (the alt control schemes aren't any better). I'll get used to it eventually but not a fan atm. I won't let that ruin the game for me though, because it's still amazing overall. I give it a 8.5-9/10 for now. Great game, good features, lot of content, fun gameplay and good mechanics with a fair amount of depth. Ony things holding it back are technical issues. I highly recommend it nonetheless.

7 RepliesCustomization is limited, but at least the defaults both look great in game. I always played the default maleshep, never played the default femshep in the trilogy. I completely lost track of time playing the game....it's been awhile since that has happpemed. 10 hrs isn't enough time to do what's available in the trial version.

Edited by ABeardedViking: 3/16/2017 8:25:43 AMI am jelly!! Damn you Sony and no to EA access. Most of the people playing on reddit have said positive things about ME Andromeda for the most part. Can't wait to the 21st

I'm definitely loving it so far. The movement feels much better than the original trilogy, although I am still getting used to everything. I was never a fan of the "Gears" style running in the originals but everything feels pretty fluid thus far. Between single player and multiplayer with friends I'm definitely going to get my money's worth with Andromeda. I'm definitely looking forward to Tuesday even more.
