I have a new game mode thats pretty fun to play for custom games that makes one (maybe two) players seem like a boss from an mmo.
This is how it works:
Team 1 will be the boss' assailants.
Team 2 will be the boss.
This game mode works by buffing a certain character (keeping those buffs exclusive to team 2), but only to a certain extent. You dont want an overlord Roadhog or something taking no damage with no cooldowns and dealing max damage. A good example that I tried yesterday is a Genji. I may not remember the stats fully, but it should be easy to see what needs tweaking.
-Genji:
-200% health,
-75% damage recieved,
-125-140% damage dealt,
-50% cooldowns for both abilities,
-Reduced ult charge, and
-140% movement speed.
This boss is an example of a fast, damage dealing boss that is relatively squishy, probably requiring a bit of skill to operate. For this boss, only two or three people are recommended, otherwise, you'd need to buff him more.
Other good boss type characters would be
-Roadhog,
-Dva,
-Mei (maybe), and more.
I still have to mess around with settings to find the better setups for raid bosses.

I prefer giving a Reinhardt max speed and no cooldown on his charge.

1 ReplyOooh I have an idea! Make the boss Mercy with a load of HP. Give her max ult charge. Reduce healing received to as low as it can go (so she can't regen it). Slow down her bullets by a pretty big amount. Only 1 Mercy on boss team allowed. The rest of the bosses team is minions, the "minions" are just really weak players who are supposed to deal extra damage to the boss fighters. The minions should be: Only: Sombra, Widowmaker, meibe Reaper. They would get dmg nerfed by a lot, dealing very little on their own, but dealing decent dmg with focused fire. Reaper would get a dmg buff. If he got close he'd die instantly. All minion abilities are removed. Also let there be only 1 Reinhardt on boss team. He'd get 50% or less hp. He'd protect the minions for a while before they all die. Also take his abilities away. The boss fighters should all get 1 healer, just 76. He'd get bonus healing given and received. Balance out boss fighters to your liking now. You can change anything you don't like. And have fun = )
