What first comes to mind for me is
Man: He doesn't row.
Woman: He doesn't row?
Man: No he Doesn't row.
Woman: Ah I see what ya mean.
Won't spoil what that means if some of you haven't played Bioshock Infinite but you should definitely look into playing it. When I finally heard that part again my mind was blown...

Any game more than 6 months old is fair game for spoiling.

The beginning of Borderlands 2 when you meet Roland in his cell.
Behind him is a sign saying "you die", essentially telling you that the game will be killing him later in the story.
-
When chief says he's finishing the fight.... and then doesn't finnish it till three years later
-
Beginning of Borderlands 2 Claptrap says: you being able to walk will be Handsome Jack's Downfall. I mean, he is right. Oh, and him saying he can't climb stairs.
-
I don't get it and I watched a full play through of the game
-
D.va saying nerf this

1 ReplyEdited by The Researcher: 3/3/2017 11:34:32 PMNot sure if this counts. If not: Skyrim had Alduin save you from Helgen, only for you to find out later he's the big bad world eater.
son of a gun saves you and you kill him. Ain't you a dick?
1 ReplyWhen the stranger said "I don't have time to explain why I don't have time to explain"
little did I know that that's what the game was trying to tell me the whole time!
1 ReplyBest foreshadowing was when Destiny had no story. Now, its has nothing entirely.

When I call in my Titan.....you gonna die. No buts or ifs.....it's gonna happen.

5 RepliesFallout 4.
The song that playes on the radio when you are seeing Kellogg's memories. The one when you see your kid and the Institute courser.
-
3 RepliesI never understood what that meant. Care to explain in a spoiler perhaps? I've played the game so you wont be spoiling anything for me.

The opening to Journey. Very well done I thought. If you really want it spoiled...
When you begin the game you're looking at a flying light that lands in the desert and you pop up. You find out that when you beat the game you fly from the mountain top back to the beginning as the flying light.
1 ReplyWhat's written on the wall in Roland's cell in the Bloodshot dam when you first see him in Borderlands 2. Probably not the best but it's one example of foreshadowing in a game I can remember.
-
5 RepliesEdited by Psyntifik: 3/2/2017 4:03:44 PMThe beat example I can think of is in Red Dead Redemption. Where you shoot that guy and he's all 'This will make a great spot'.
The spot later turns out to be John's grave.
Shenmue 1 also had "Keep your mind clear, like a polished mirror" plastered everywhere.

Throughout Fallout New Vegas, the foreshadowing to the DLC, especially towards Ulysses.

4 RepliesI prefer Bioshock 1. The true Bioshock. I never really got into Infinite. I thought the weapons and enemies were lame.

1 Replydoesn't the opening cutscene in reach have your helmet in the ground with the bullethole? if so then that's foreshadowing

Idk if it counts but at the end of Shadow of Mordor when Talion kills the Black Hand and tells Celebrimbor that they'll forge a new ring. Then I saw the announcement trailer for Shadow of War.

Halo one flood. Loved the tension as soon as Cortana hooked into the control station.
