I believe sidearms should have amo removed on death, no other nerf necessary

Just back to 20 when yoy die becuse it will out ply every primary
-
Or even just reset the original amount. The broken part is letting you accumulate ammo over the course of a match and keep it. After 3 minutes I'm over a 100 rounds for a sidearm and set for the rest of the match. That is the broken part.
-
With the changes to special ammo I agree side arms should spawn with no ammo on death except for dregs and trespasser cause of the exotic perks.
-
No; they just need to undo the ammo changed in PvP that they placed in the recent patch. Sidearms aren't the problem; it's the fact that everything else has been watered down that's causing this whole clusterfuck.

Edited by SilentFight2411: 2/21/2017 2:14:46 AMIf people didn't overuse snipers and shotguns (mostly shotguns as of late) so much just for the ohk K/D paddings then the special ammo nerf probably wouldn't have happened. You shotgun and sniper mains turned down your beds and now you have to lie in them. Edit: Checked your stats and did see that you are almost even as far as your primary and special use (at least on your Hunter you are) my apologies. You are a rare one. Anytime I've bothered to check stats since seeing a complaint about the special economy nerf I always see a one sided stat (ie: Special Weapons: 80%, Primary Weapons 10%, Abilities: 5%, Heavy Weapons: 5%, this is a made up set of stats and is just an example of the point I'm trying to make).

I was about to say hahahaha, I have about 79 thousand primary kills and 400 shotguns and most came as of late enjoying lord of wolves just for fun bc of recently getting it
-
Lord of Wolves, there's a pretty cool gun, I had fun with that one myself in PvE but I'm not quick enough in PvP for it to be effective for me.
-
They could have handled snipers and shotguns more competently; they pretty much nerfed shotguns to the ground at the expense of their relevancy in PvE. Also, I started using Sidearms as my main special long before this patch was released, and I just avoid PvP for the most part now (You'll find that I recently played a PvP match, but that was only because my younger brother forced me to. -_- ).
-
Snipers, tbh I have no real opinion on. I use a shotgun as my go to in PvE. I like your comment about them though in PvE, very thought provoking for me. How do you mean they lost their relevancy? I use them everywhere except in raids. I've never noticed much of a change in them after any weapon "balancing" patch & if I did it was so minor that I could easily adjust. As far as sidearms I discovered somewhere shortly after the peak of the old meta started that they were good for countering a rushing shotgunner. I guess I'm an usual player but shotguns feel better to me now in PvE, more fun to use, I can't explain why though, it's just one of those weird things I guess
-
I agree with you on certain respects, but I feel like it's a lot harder to make an enemy stagger with Shotguns in PvE because Shotgun crits got removed; something like that becomes really useful in close pinches. Overall though, I guess you have a fair point; I still use Shotguns in the same way as I did before, even though they aren't as effective as they used to be.

Edited by SilentFight2411: 2/21/2017 3:32:00 AMThe crit shot thing I can see being a problem. I mainly use my Proud Spire with full auto so I don't need a crit shot in a tight situation. I just hold the trigger down and let the gun give me a 2 bounce kill lol
-
It's hard to come by a Shotgun with full auto a lot of times; whenever I did get one, it always has a shitty role. :/
-
Yeah, they are such a rare drop for me too that even if the rest of the perks are crap I still hang on to them just as a show of appreciation to RNGesus lol. RNGesus still doesn't care for me a whole lot though lol
-
I feel you buddy.
