I can't believe Bungie did all this!!! Bye guys after 2600 hours playing this is the last straw!!
Just kidding. The changes seem like they might make the game fresh and new. Haven't played yet this week but I look forward to testing the waters, dusting off tons of stuff from the vault, and having more fun!

It made the game feel more like halo and year 1. You gotta use your primary more, and treat special like power weapons you use in special situations. I am loving the crucible.

Admittedly I only played one match but I dusted off one of my favourite autos and played around with a new sidearm and jumped into mayhem clash and despite losing, it was pretty fun (stupidly close too), I might play some other game modes at some point and see how that pans out but I quite like that autos are a bit back in the frame now though...

I haven't had a chance to play with the new patch. There is so much negativity ALL THE TIME on this forum, it's nice to see that some people like the changes. Looking forward to testing it out this weekend!

I've not played since I logged in for five minutes to get a fortune from a box in the Tower for a grimoire card. Don't see a weapon patch changing that. Anyway, see you next Thursday/Friday where I'll be disappointed at another TWAB for telling me nothing of note.

They probably like it because Bungie lowered the skill gap so much by making sidearms the meta that they can actually compete with players who had good primary and special usage (I'm not talking about the egotistical shotgun warriors who thought they were good) Unfortunately now no lands and sidearms are running rampant and the crucible is more passive than ever. Might as well call elimination tradenation. The only other weapons I see are palindrome, God rolled lunas, hawksaw, Parthian shot, and occasionally a doctrine or a blind perdition. This patch has even less diversity than last meta. Shotguns are almost unusable in the air so if you decide to put one on you'll be trading in almost every shotgun gunfight with boots on the ground. I like the primary changes but the special changes should be reverted and primaries need to be buffed more.

29 RepliesBro you're so right! It's definitely fresh. And new. That time last night when I went to shoot a guy with my fusion realized that I didn't have any! That was a fresh feel. Or when I went around to every special box and there wasn't any so I just sat down by one for 40 seconds! That was certainly new.

Hawkmoon is my go to primary and with a sidearm it's just so fun. I've only gotten killed by a handful of shotguns from playing last night and I was getting killed more by actual primaries. Who would of thought?
