So before reading this, please visit my previous post months ago and yes I did play the during the dawning, sue me. Link here: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/217534458?showBanned=0&path=0
Now lets get back to the post itself, I warned the community once and they were dumb enough to ignore it, with the kotaku article bringing up the problems of pre-ordering, even Boogie2988, Angry Joe, and so many more famous credible people, we need to remember, pre-ordering destroys games entirely. How so? Well, let me give you a list.
CoD: Advanced Warfare
CoD: BO3
CoD: Ghosts
CoD: Infinite Warfare
Titanfall (Was supposed to have a story)
Overwatch (Was supposed to be an MMO)
Recore (So many things went wrong with it)
and the list could go on and on and on...
But are you noticing something? No? Please go look at the trailers before it was released and the severe backlash of the final products reviews. The conclusion here is that preordering renders the product into a lump of clay, a very small one at that. Preordering the game locks you in on the product they intend to sell, and what they show you isn't the final product, like so!

Seeing it? Do I need to find more? No? Okay then! When the company knows they've sold millions of copies before they even print the discs they can cut out soooooo much of the game and just give it to you. And that's what happened to Destiny, Recore, Overwatch, -blam!-ING RECORE, No mans sky for christ sakes!
They know they can keep bending you over the rails because a lot of you don't have self control, so my second warning is this. DON'T PREORDER THE GAME! Let bungie print the discs and preorder a week before it releases, save the game, its future and your embarrassing burden of knowing you cause problems for the industry. Thank you!

2 RepliesPlease people. Listen. If Bungie/Activision won't invest in regional dedicated servers for their multi-million players/fans... then I'm not investing my 100-300USD into another destiny nerf-fest. (let's face it... this is what it will cost you to play this game) So. If Bungie invests in us (meaning the players, by purchasing regional dedicated servers) then, and only then, will i consider purchasing another destiny title.

8 RepliesYea I'll still be pre ordering an buying all dlcs. Why you ask?? Because it's my money my choice an because I want to.
-
Edited by zbeshears: 2/14/2017 3:58:03 PMI don't pre order anything anymore. Too many people doing that and it blows me away... and then because they spent money they feel like they have to defend their purchase even though it's possible it's horrible lol Too many kids and impatient people now a days... OMG MY FRIENDS GOT IT AND I CANT BE THE ONLY ONE WITHOUT SO I HAVE TO GET IT TO BE COOL BRUH!

1 ReplyMake the developer sweat working harder to get a solid review that deserves your dollars. If you pre-order what incentive does bung have to earn your money? Bung already has your money so they can give you the least for the highest price. I won't buy a destiny 2 without 60fps and dedicated servers

"When you pre-order a game, you’re just committing to paying for something that some a**ho**s in California haven’t even finished working on yet. You know what you get for pre-ordering a game? A big d**k in your mouth." -Cartman

A lot of us are debating whether to buy it at all, let alone pre-order, given how this one has been managed.

1 ReplyEdited by MindEntropy: 2/14/2017 2:11:24 PMBungie isn't gonna con me. Ill read reviews watch a few streams and see if it's even worth it to purchase. After their many screw ups, even players with tons of hours are gonna be skeptical. Is it gonna be destiny 2 or nerfstiny 15. We shall see.

Destiny was my first and last pre-order. I can wait a day for reviews.
-
I keep telling myself "wait until it comes out", "wait for reviews first". The problem is I already know I'll preorder it, no matter how much I try to stop myself. Destiny is an addiction. I also keep telling myself "destiny is dead, stop going back on, there's nothing to do" and I ignore it every time. I can't help it...

Edited by PSD: 2/14/2017 1:20:32 PMIf destiny 2 was available for preorder now I would waste no time to do so. Supporting your favorite game developer is OK to do so without shame. Bungie has been beaten the last couple of years and has held its own in this odd age for video games. Bungie, cheers!

Except they get u with the pre order bonus stuff. I know I'm gonna buy the game anyways so I might as well get the extra stuff with it
-
Edited by zJDz: 2/14/2017 4:26:18 PMNo need to preorder unless you want the special items you can get. I always just download the day it drops.
-
2 RepliesI'll never pre-order again after getting burnt on the division
-
I have 2752 hours played in this game. It's so good I can't explain. I have high hopes for D2 and have no problem pre ordering. If this game is anything to go by, money well spent
-
yes i agree to a certain extent, if there is a nice preorder exclusive i may get it a week or two before release. i wouldnt preorder before that

3 RepliesI'm almost positive the next game won't be finished. Once again, Activision is forcing a deadline on them. So it may look cool when the trailer drops, but won't be anything different. Bungie is good at hype. Also, "constant content updates" could really mean cut content to release back to back to seem like they were prepared, but essentially were still working on the material
-
So don't preorder because you weren't happy with how the game released? Get over yourself. I will preorder Destiny 2 and all of its DLCs because I know I am going to enjoy playing it.
-
2 RepliesI will pre-order, it's just a matter of when.
-
Still gonna preorder. Sorry you wrote this essay for nothing.
-
I'm preordering lol
-
5 RepliesAlready got my money ready for my DESTINY2 pre order, as does my whole Clan and 132 PSN Friends in our community 😄😄

2 RepliesBoogie and angry joe? Who are these people and why should i give a sweet -blam!- about them? Im assuming they are a couple of jobless -blam!-wads that spit their bullshit all over youtube, and at the end of every video ask you to drop a like or subscribe so they can continue being jobless -blam!-wads. I would prefer eating my own shit before listening to some youtube fgt. Oh and btw im pre-ordering D2 asap.

Edited by Ahhsenberg: 2/14/2017 2:49:55 PMThey don't cut content like that. Cut content is given out later mostly due to the fact that it's, you know, cut content. It's stuff that didn't make it into the game due to not working into the released content. Pre-order numbers don't make the devs go ahead and cut up their game. Seriously, you know how dumb that sounds? "Let's cut out content from the game now that we have pre-orders! Who cares if it makes our game look like an incomplete pos that will possibly turn away fans/dedicated customers!" Games like NMS, Overwatch, and Destiny had different directions they wanted to go in but had development problems. These things have nothing to do with pre-orders.
-
I'm pre-ordering.

8 RepliesWho the hell said overwatch was supposed to be an MMO? That was the game that blizzard suddenly stopped working on and moved some of the assets over to overwatch. I forgot the name of it, but overwatch was even advertised as a shooter and it's basically a MOBA. A very dumbed down MOBA.
