Did I really wait 140+ days for...
For Bungie to say, "we understand you dont want us to nerf things but to buff them instead.... So we nerfed shotgun range, aim assist, air acuracy, precision damage, ADS speed."
For Bungie to say, "when you die you loose all your spacial ammo just like heavy. Sorry but we were to lazy to press the delete button on special weapons."
For Bungie to say, "oh clever Dragon now shoots almost as fast as hawksaw and holds no ammo, and slow rate of fire pulses are still shit."
For Bungie to say, "we buffed auto rifles by so much they are the same as they were 11 patches ago."
For Bungie to say, "we gave handcannons more accuracy but now they can only be used in shotgun range, and we want you to fire them so slowly that you die of age before you get that kill on the AFK noob."
For Bungie to say, "we noticed how little Blade Dancer was being used so we nerfed the only good thing about them."
For Bungie to say, "we noticed how people didn't like the stormcaller mele so we gave it less range than the titan mele."
For Bungie to say, "we noticed how people wern't using throwing knives so we gave them a perk that does literally nothing for PvP which ia what this whole think is about."
For Bungie to SHOW us how slow the crucible plays now.

The handcannon changes generally lead me to believe it to be more of a buff, and the AR change is actually pretty decent. But yeah the other changes seem like a big slap in the face for the community

I've been playing overwatch since december and I was hopign this update would make me want to play Destiny for a bit again but if anything these changes are so bad that I'll just wait for d2 at this point. Primaries needed buffing across the board, instead we get more nerfs, only high impact autos will be good now. The special changes are a joke, nerf special across the board because matador was overused, lolk. special ammo is fun to use, hunting for boxes every minute is not. The arc blade change is confusing, the stormcaller landfall nerf is really confusing, the melee nerf is called for i guess but then their nades needed a buff to compensate since the melee was carrying the subclass. I'll stick to overwatch and ME: andromeda when that comes out. The current balancing team has completely ruined the crucible as far as I'm concerned and I hope they don't get to work on the next game.

They didn't nerf stormcaller melee to striker Titan range, they made it the same as the rest of the warlok melees

7 RepliesThis is the problem with you guys. Once you get it in your heads something should be changed one particular way, you can't see anything else but that. There's no such thing to you guys as alternate options that the opinion you subscribe to didn't put on the table. And when you do finally get a load of the alternatives Bungie comes up with, you just see them as nerfs or ignoring the precious community mental boxed opinion. Sometimes Bungie is right and you're wrong. Sometimes they're wrong and you're right. But for sure the community is in no way right even close to all the time. As always with any update, I'll reserve my opinion on what REALLY happens to PvP until after I actually get my hands on the game post-patch. Not listen to more freaked out PvP junkies and their knee jerk hyperbolic reactions.

3 RepliesIt's scary to think it's not over there's more coming in the patch notes later and they did mention truth as well. I'm curious why would they nerf truth like really. And when this new meta begins oh boy nothing but ice breaker invective trespasser and maybe dregs promise is all you will see along with no land and universal remote. Well time to use ice breaker now before everyone and their mother uses it and it gets nerfed into the ground

I stopped all PVP activities, mainly play strikes and help a few with the occasional NF. Nerfd Bladedancer. Next, Stormcaller will only Stun victims, like a Tazer... Game is improving!!!
