Crota HM. That took us a long time.

Vog wasnt too bad (normally just say up top with an icebreaker and vision of cornflakes) the most hardest one was Kf and that was cause people didnt know what counter clockwise was.

Honestly? Playing Crota End raid when I was under powered. 2 scratches from a thrall was enough to kill me. That was a bore. I bought the game after The Dark Below came out so the guys I played with only ever wanted to do Crota raid. By the time I went into VoG everyone was much higher levelled so from all accounts it was much easier than it would have been. TTK was just fun. Sure the mechanics were tricky to work out and it was annoying if someone died you all had to wipe, but over all it was a laugh. The WotM is also good fun. Again, once you have the mechanics on point it's really very simple.

Wrath of the Machine, Aksis Phase 2. Maybe if I knew which direction was left and which one was right, I would actually not sabotage the other 5 people trying so hard to carry me.

Last night I spent about 4 hrs trying to do wotm with a random group. And still wasn't able to complete it.. it was a train wreck last night , hopefully today I can finish it today after work.. only thing I'm trying to get is the raid ship

You have to ask? VoG had the biggest learning curve, because it spammed ads at a relentless pace, but it was the most fun for me, just because of how much variety you got in players, and the things they did. Also Vex. Best gun in the game. Why no Y3? Biggest Problem, was lack of diversity. all of the combat was in two stages, Aetheon room and Templar room. The maze and puzzle were fun but i can draw those zones blindfolded, that's how much time we spent in there. Crota was the most unique, the light maze (I still remember the first time my whole raid team made it through unscathed), the bridge, crota himself. All of these were fun mechanics (when they fixed the big glitches) and the loot was super interesting. Biggest problem, gear snobs. Unless you had Gally no one invited you. I remember rolling up into dozens of lobbies with my Truth saying "look it tracks" and immediately getting booted. This mentality has continued for high level activities where specific gear is not only encouraged, it's required. King's fall was ungodly. Bungie took a look at Crota and VoG and had one thought. Bigger. And by bigger i mean "how much walking can we make a Guardian do." Gorgamell and the RuneBro had tiny boss rooms, but in-between massive expanses. The puzzles themselves were easy to master after a few weeks. And Oryx, god what a clusterblam of a bossfight: runner, ogres, lighteaters, the transport. Bungie went big and created a monstrosity. This led to the most popular sport of all time, looking for a new raid team member. because of how long the raid was, and how unforgiving it was to teaching new players, there were many raiding parties that simply dissolved at a given checkpoint. This problem persists today, simply because the prevailing mentality is "get it right, get it right now." Even a perfect run had players pushing 2 hours most weeks. Wrath of the Machine should be the most fun, but it is slowly becoming my least favorite. 1. You spend 5/6th of the raid shooting adds for an opportunity to damage the boss. Yeah the bombs are fun, the cannons are nw and slamming Aksis is always satisfying, but there is no variety. We get two boss rooms and two running areas where we get to run around moving pieces and run around collecting lights. Despite being hella long, King's fall got it right, we need some movement and variety in gamplay, not 4 stages of throwing bombs. 2. Right now the biggest problem with Wrath is it tries to be the best raid, but is falling victim to the biggest problem of all three games. VoG: lack of variety in the areas, Crota: : gear specific areas. The captains spawning in the middle of a pack of ads necessitates either gally, dark drinker or a specific super, and half the people running the raid lack one of those required. It makes it really hard to advance without it. and finally, Kings: player's leaving. I must admit i am guilty of this. If we're not close after 5 attempts at an area I bail. Next Raid: Limit sections of "kill ads

Depends on what you mean by hardest. With the right people normal Crota can become more difficult than HM Kingsfall with Golgoroth challenge.

Kings fall was hardest. Mainly because it was rare to get with a group that didn't have a warrior in it who thought they could solo everything but couldn't. Fire team- "Don't stand there" Guardian-" Im good, I will cover this...." *Gaurdian down* WIPE. Or someone who just didn't grasp the mechanics of the thing. Vault was and still is good fun even with numptys. Long live the vault.

Raid on LFG

Vault easily the hardest (before crota) underleveled underpowered and in some cases outnumbered made it one of the best experiences to properly fight for your loot.

Well you are all wrong, hard mode crota with all its brokeness was the hardest raid to complete on the day it dropped. Believe me i was there, it was horrible.

Crota... when it came out... it was hard cause of all the BS that would happen
