I am a Striker and I am not ashamed. Everyone bashes strikers running with jug shields and shotguns, but I am one of those who do EXACTLY that. Although the hate will flow through all of you reading this, this is the way I played shooters since Day 1: shotgun to the face. I detest sniping.
To all those that up to this day haven't figured out how to counter this strategy, I say get better. I've been juked and outplayed many times, and to those players, congrats!!
To all those who understand and use this strategy, go ahead!! This is what I used in every other game and it has been a blast since.
Stop complaining. I know it s frustrating, but getting sniped is even worse. Fellow shotgun users, I say...

How the hell do you get two chest piece(mind you arguably the best exotic armors for a Titan) with the mentioned perks. It's complete shit, I used to say bungie hates Titans but they damn sure hate Hunters. Edit: Hunter has zero, Titans have two Warlocks have three.

1 ReplyEvery class has some bs utility that compliments shotgunning. Hunters= shadestep, Titans= juggernaut, and Warlocks= god range thunderstrike. Fact of the matter is people will play how they want to play, that's okay. But I as a player have the opinion that shotgunning takes no skill. Maneuverability takes skill, when to move, how you move, your reaction time, judging how close you need to be to score a kill. I can respect that. Running straight at me with a pretty blue shield? No. It's cheap. Like I believe wombo combos are cheap. [spoiler]And get over yourself if you think getting killed by a sniper is worse than a shotgun. Truly shows how much of a "warrior" you are.[/spoiler]

I am a striker in crucible. Sometimes anyway. If your entire team is sitting on heavy ammo waiting for it to spawn and hear someone scream "The Traveler is Greater"... Run.

Jug shield Shoulder charge being a OHKO and throwing knife isn't (but we can just do away with SC entirely because it's trash) Lightning grenades FOH kill radius - if you didn't know, it's through 30 feet of concrete and a kilometer in the air (you're lying if you say it's fine) Spike Grenades Skip Grenades (with shinobus? Cringe) Shadestep Aim assist of sticky grenades Warlock melees Storm caller melees and aim assist on that. Solar titans are still stupid strong. A roaming super with hella shield and projectiles. Titan skating I think I could find more. But for now. This. Sincerely, a blade main that doesn't use QuickDraw, uses Fluxes, and is tired of short stopping.

Jug shield is a no skill thing. You just skate to them with an overshield over your head which tanks a goldie shot and no primary will stop you, even the last word, and then you kill them easily with your shotty. There's really no way to counter them without a shotty, or if they don't make a mistake (miss or not OHK). Even stormcaller needs more skill.

I don't have a problem with shotguns, but I pity you if you're one of those people who ran towards me across half the map like an npc and don't even try to use a primary. Just give me more special for my sniper and I'd be fine.

4 Repliesjug is whatever. a 180 damage melee that regens health on kill with faster punch speed than other classes (even with melee speed bonuses on armor), that has a chance to reset the cooldown on hit, a super that can kill through walls and ceilings, a grenade that can hit people standing far from where it appears to be aimed, and (not striker specific but titan specific) having the exotic armor pieces that have the best exotic perks [i]coincidentally[/i] also having the special ammo perk that allows you to spawn with 12 sniper shots with 5 on pickup (as opposed to 6 on spawn and 4 per pickup) and 7 shotgun shots and 6 on pickup (as opposed to 7 on spawn 4 or 5 on pickup) are what upset me about titans. they are just better. end of story.

1 ReplyI'm a Titan main and I think Juggernaut is pretty much bullshit. It's one thing to have to counter it every once in awhile but when you get into a match where half or more of the enemy team is using it, the game stops being about anything other than dealing with that. Which is pretty broken IMO. It is blatantly, brokenly OP in the fact that it can tank a GG shot or tether. Less blatantly so in the too-high damage resistance and lack of cool down. It has existed since day one, more or less unchanged to my knowledge. But with other changes, the people looking for the cheap and EZ way move on to the next thing. So now it is being habitually abused, the lazy players that do so will kill their "golden goose" yet again. It's in the game. It's "fair" play. If you goof around with it occasionally or if you use it at the absolute highest levels of play, more power to you. If you want to just Juggerscrub every single second you can in every play list please at least have the decency to recognize that you're exploiting an unsporting advantage and you're walking on a crutch. Enjoy the nerf that is surely coming that you have so diligently earned.
