I am a Striker and I am not ashamed. Everyone bashes strikers running with jug shields and shotguns, but I am one of those who do EXACTLY that. Although the hate will flow through all of you reading this, this is the way I played shooters since Day 1: shotgun to the face. I detest sniping.
To all those that up to this day haven't figured out how to counter this strategy, I say get better. I've been juked and outplayed many times, and to those players, congrats!!
To all those who understand and use this strategy, go ahead!! This is what I used in every other game and it has been a blast since.
Stop complaining. I know it s frustrating, but getting sniped is even worse. Fellow shotgun users, I say...

All of the classes are fun in their own right. Im never a bladedancer though... a max of 3 jumps WITH my bones?....... unacceptable. I couldn't care less about which class I'm up against. A different class calls for a different approach. Each class and subclass has their strong suits, thats the point. Variety is the spice of life. The classes are fine. Shotguns and snipers are annoying and frustrating as hell.... that being said, OH WELL! Thats what makes it exciting. Adapt and survive. In the end, it doesnt really matter because sidearms -*blam*- on all of them. Dudes runnin around confident as hell with their shotguns, i just unload half a clip into their face before they get into range and *poof* theyre dust. The one thing that truly pisses me off are the guardians that Tbag while holdING a shotgun.... CANT STND them. Like.... really.... tbagging with a matador... i have no respect for them . I i run straight for them.

As a riot shield/shotgun user for CoD for MANY years and now a Striker main in the Crucible I wholeheartedly agree! Run and Gun, Ride or Die for life!!

I used to be a shotgun striker back since day 1, but once HoW rolled around, I switched to fusion rifle and haven't looked back. They're good, and yes, I also detest snipers, so they help

I use a mix between snipers and shotguns. Tho I don't use jugg shield, I still find both fun, and both equally as irritating when I die to them.

Honestly people just like to complain. I still use shoulder charge all the time, the nerf just changed my approach a bit. Yes shotguns will destroy me if people see me coming but that's my problem to deal with. Keep doing what you do, don't let others get you down because they can't adapt. Cheers.

I never play as Strikers because I think they are a boring class but I have no problem with them in terms of fairness. Have no trouble beating them either.

10 RepliesI'm trying my best not to hate on you, but don't you get bored? To me there is almost nothing fun about shotguns. Sniper kills can be satisfying, fusions are satisfying, knife kills are extremely satisfying, you get my point. How TF do you stick with your warrior strategy??? Not to mention it just ruins everyone else's experience.

I remember reading a very well thought out essay about playing the "easy mode" or OP strategies of any game, and how it's pointless to shame people who play that way. Rather, those styles should be embraced, optimized and probed for counters, enhancing the overall gameplay rather than eschewing what seems to be the best way to play for some sort of moral high ground. I'm not saying strikers are op. They're probably fine. Shotguns... I always feel like they're too good when I get one-shotted by one from what feels like too far for an acceptable range, but I haven't been able to make it work for me. So the answer is obvious... haxx! Rage report!

I don't have much trouble melting jug shields with Saladins Vigil, so it's all good ;) I actually run striker Titan as my main, BUT I prefer the top perk as it doesn't lower my armor. I prefer to fight at mid ranges, so max armor is too sweet to pass up.

I get the feeling, everyone complains about striker titans with shot guns, I play with one and they're surprisingly easy to counter, no class is really better than the other, including strikers
