I am a Striker and I am not ashamed. Everyone bashes strikers running with jug shields and shotguns, but I am one of those who do EXACTLY that. Although the hate will flow through all of you reading this, this is the way I played shooters since Day 1: shotgun to the face. I detest sniping.
To all those that up to this day haven't figured out how to counter this strategy, I say get better. I've been juked and outplayed many times, and to those players, congrats!!
To all those who understand and use this strategy, go ahead!! This is what I used in every other game and it has been a blast since.
Stop complaining. I know it s frustrating, but getting sniped is even worse. Fellow shotgun users, I say...

[i]I am a Titan, Striker type, with muscles strong and large My beefy frame is just ideal for doing shoulder charge. I look around the battlefield and find you on my tracker, And then I run, and when I'm done, I've crushed you like a cracker. The warlocks think I'm pretty dumb, with microscopic brain, But you won't care what I got up there when I hit you like a train. And if my shoulder charge should miss, I will not be afraid: My fist is charged with lightning, and I have a shock grenade. But shoulder charging's what I like, while racing swift and frantic; I like it even better than my awesome Fist of Panic. My other tricks have to recharge, I can't use them at will. But shoulder charge will never fail to score a gruesome kill! I love to shoulder charge the Fallen I'll send them home to mommies bawlin' It's fun to shoulder charge the Hive They'll crap a brick when I arrive (And probably will not survive) I like to shoulder charge the Vex, And pulverize their skinny necks I could just charge Cabal all night, And send them soaring like a kite (A very painful one-way flight) If you said I like charging Taken, You certainly are not mistaken What joy to shoulder charge a Splicer There is simply nothing nicer (And nothing else that rhymes with Splicer) I'll shoulder charge those who defend, In Crucible, I'm not their friend. For y'all brawlers (strikers) use the "An Insurmountable Skullfort" helm. Its an amazing exotic: grants 2 melee charges, respawn with melee energy and gain transfusion. Its super fun for shoulder charging! Also put on amplify!0_0 I find it better than the mainstream TG chest.

Don't be ashamed dude it's totally fine if you want to use a class with no learning curve that requires no effort to use any of its abilitys. It's totally fine that people with no hands, eyes, brains or testicles can pick up a striker and hobble along on its crutches and succeed with no skill whatsoever.

Regardless of what anyone says on these forums, keep playing how you want bro. I respect anyone who's not ashamed of how they play. I used to play tons of MW2 and all I used were either the rangers, or the model 1887 akimbo. Literally did nothing but run around with them, so I understand exactly where you're coming from. I don't do it very often in destiny, but when I do its hilariously satisfying.

I even melted an oncoming rusher four or five times before he finally used a primary and gunned me down. He teabagged, of course. Anyway, keep punching all the things, fellow Striker.

1 ReplyStrikers are so fun to use but really easy and less challenging than defender. The glory of being a level 34 and winning a free for all match against all level 40s as a defender feels so satifying.

I am a shotty jug runner as well!!! I agree it's one of the best. You can rush players and shock them, they'll never expect it. Everybody will hate but if it was to cheap it wouldn't be in the game. The best way to counter this it to use a shotgun, jump shot them in the head and smash them. The shot will take their shield down and the smack will finish them.

Edited by Inb4ban: 2/2/2017 12:22:59 AMBest way to counter is to move to left/ right(turns off jug shield) and put some distance, throw grenade in to lower health, then light up with primary. If your a sniper you could easily replace grenade with a quickscope to the body. Also jump around a lot. This disorientates the jug Titan and prevents the shield from popping up, giving the chance to slowly pick off health and maybe if you jump enough finish him off with a melee.

2 Replieslol I tried to use jug and a shotty before but I just can't do it... 😂 it's so easy to get kills but the effect when you get the shield is a bit ridiculous 😂 I'll stick with shoulder charge and a shotty. I love shoulder charging someone and instantly blowing someone away with a shotty 😂 funniest shit ever, just drop two people instantly lol

I do enjoy tears Striker generates. Though it's not as much tears Sunbreaker generated back in the beginning of TTK. There was never a day when you saw a nerf Sunbreaker post. You'd at least see two posts about it.
