It’s done. Again.
The project lasted for 3 months, received 167 hours of working time in total, contained 21 clips (9 deleted scenes), weighted 185 GB of video footage with a total length of 126 hours and included 41 collaborators.
But now, “Destiny | True Stories – Part 2” is finished.
DTS1 was released on the 19th of February in 2016. It got a “honorable mention” in Bungie’s weekly update back then and has around 111.000 views at the moment. It was planned to create and publish DTS2 shortly after DTS1, but yeah…sometimes things won’t develop the way you wanna have them.
I hope everyone can enjoy the new movie. I got a lot of amazing feedback for DTS1 and I really tried to focus on it’s weaknesses to make Part 2 better than Part 1. Of course, Bungie helped out as well – finally it is able to make clean camera shots, without cutting out HUD-areas. I’m really thankful for that. I know, I’m quite late for it, it exists for several months already.
DTS2 tries to tell different stories – all of them incoherent to each other. Some of them are based on experiences that every player can make throughout the game, some of them are just short fictional stories. The main focus is again the game itself. Destiny is such a beautiful game. And I tried to catch it again. I hope everyone can see this effort.
Of course it won’t be a video that everyone likes. And that’s cool. That’s ok. Pls, just tell me what exactly you didn’t enjoy. So Part 3 (if there is DTS3 at some point?) will get even better.
Some hardware facts (nothing too fancy, but still):
PS4
Elgato HD60
Aspire V 15 Nitro
Adobe Premiere & AfterEffects

2 RepliesEdited by Pistachio Bandit: 1/30/2017 8:31:31 PMToo bad that the guy who didn't need to list how many hours he spent (you wasted) is going make sure your shit'tage doesn't win. This is so bad it's not even funny. I'm not even trolling. Horrendous. If you really wasted that much time on this... Why is it so awful? Seriously, what the hell is this? I hope you have a day job that you haven't turned in your notice for.

6 RepliesLmao you wasted your time, literally the most stupidest video ive ever seen. I cant believe i almost wasted 12 minutes of my time.
this sucks balls
Inspiring to say the least.

1 Reply167 hours oh no that makes your content automatically good No,it's quite boring
-
2 RepliesIt was alright. I smiled at the humorous bits and the serious ones were done well, but I feel the two clashed with each other too much. It probably would have been better had you separated it into two videos, one for the nice cinematic scenes and one for a Gmod Idiot Box type of gag reel.

Nice video!

Nice video! I enjoyed it!

Nice video overall but, to me, it felt too scripted. The comedy bits felt right being scripted but other parts, like the titans bit in the beginning, not so much.

Don't quit your day job... Kinda fell flat man.

You had me at Convoy! Well played guardian.

Some of it wasn't worth watching but I loved the hard light parts. I would love to watch more of that and similar stuff like it.

1 ReplyWell dude. I think you nail the photography, and music. Mood. But i think youre missing the story. Im saying this only because its really good, and i think a little more and you are good to go

2 RepliesJust like every other idiot dropping montages to shit electro beats. Shoulda Stuck to that. Game is absolutely dead, no amount of shitty clips mashed together can fix it.
-
14 RepliesIt took 3 months and 167 hours to make an incredibly boring montage of gaming clips? Its too boring to watch all of it. I watched like 30 seconds then skimmed the rest. Sorry to be brutal but just being honest. I dont even get it, is this supposed to be some art piece that we arent supposed to get? Whats going on here?

3 Replies167 hours of your life you will never get back

1 ReplyNice job, I can tell you enjoyed yourself

1 ReplyNice try? Just because you put a ton of time into something, doesn't mean it's good. I've tried to convince myself of this before.

5 RepliesEdited by Pistachio Bandit: 1/27/2017 8:45:49 PMI was hoping for something epic with your egregious disclaimer listing all of your supposedly valuable man hours spent on this project... Someone should research and list how many hours of good human lives were wasted by your new form of click bait. This shit was bad AF. Myself and EVERYONE else watched the first 30 seconds in horror then skimmed to see If it would get better, then hit reply and told you of their new life's greatest disappointment. I get it though. You live under a bridge, and you're good at what you're doing.

3 RepliesWhether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank just outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right dick, we can punch through those defenses, take this bitch out and break her grip on Freehold
