I saw a YouTuber, can't remember name, who made a video stating Fabian Strategy is the worst exotic and I just couldn't disagree more. It USED to be the worst one but after the huge buff it got it is very good in PvE.
What in your opinion is the worst exotic? For me personally it is Ace of Spades. I just don't think it looks like an exotic weapon plus it's perks are underwhelming to me. Third Eye is pointless now because of the radar artifact (none of the others worth using for me) and the exotic perk should give you one round FOR FREE per precision kill instead of from reserves. Since the gun heavily focused on precision, maybe Third Eye could be replaced with Triple Tap.
Edit: wow, didn't expect this many responses! Thanks everyone; please keep em coming. The most common ones seem to be Dreg's Promise, 4th Horseman, Khvostov, Chaperone and Hereafter, all understandably XD

4 RepliesOUTBREAK PRIME!! Gun is absolute trash!! ;-)

2 RepliesAoS is arguably the best PvE exotic primary. Most exotics have a niche use, though. And you have to separate PVE from PvP. I think for PVE, NLB is hands down the worst exotic. But it can be a beast in PvP. The 4th horseman is a terrible general use weapon, but in certain scenarios it is amazing (strikes with arc burn/specialist for majors/ultras). But AoS is the best handcannnon archetype with max range, firefly, and essentially a 100 round mag. It's better than Fatebringer!
-
2 RepliesThe worst archetype at present is auto rifles. Thus, the Fabia Strategy. Total Rubbish....................
-
6 Replies4th horseman- no question.
-
1 ReplyWhats an exotic? I only know clever dragon and matador 64.
jk. All of them are bad because of those weapons above.
-
6 RepliesAce of spades wrecks. Probably literally the best pve weapon in the game (at least one of the best, depending on the encounter.) It sounds amazing.. Third eye means you can use jolder, or any other artifact (no different than mida...) It has firefly.. And my biggest argument? The free bullets from your reserves on precision kills is just fine the way it is. When was the last time you ran out of -blam!-ing hand cannon ammo.
-
-Fabian strategy: PVP/PVE It just doesn't work how it seems the devs want it to. If it's meant to hold the lines then the damage needs to stay the same when the rate of fire goes up with front lines. And the ammo it gives back is tiny (I believe it is 8) to be able to keep firing and take down multiple enemies. Right now, it just works like a normal auto when it looks like it was meant to be more complex. In PVE it feels like a bad, less effective bad juju. -Ace of spades: Just give it rifled barrel, the recoil is to heavy with reinforced. I would like to see the exotic weapons exclusive to Titans and Hunters be as good as the warlocks tlaloc.

27 RepliesThe kind of people that would say chaperone is a bad exotic are the kind of people who always have matadors and clever dragons equipped on all 3 characters.
-
The Last Word has pretty much ruined this game, so
-
9 RepliesIcebreaker. Hands down. Fabian strategy is ok when compared to other auto rifles. Icebreaker is complete trash compared to any other sniper in the game. Almost a minute for 6 shots, and the worst handling in the game, along with mediocre boss damage makes it worthless.
-
2 RepliesThorn. Requires same amount of bullets as any other handcannon to kill. Because DoT is less dmg than a doctrine of passing bullet. AND THAT IS SAYING SOMETHING😅

Young wolfs howl?

Khvostov by far.

6 RepliesLord of Wolves in PVP

9 RepliesDrsgons Breath probably

I'm not sure about worst, but the most disappointing was either chaperone or khvostov

Tie between dregs promise and dragon's breath

Super good advice

Edited by spaceghostyami: 1/26/2017 2:50:19 PMHereafter but only in comparison to other Exotic Snipers. What's it better than? Nothing.
-
It's hard to pick a worst, since almost all of them are shit.
-
P&T I love that sniper it was my first exotic but it's so bad.

DREG'S PROMISE

I don't know what that dreg promised, but this gun is bad
They have all been nerfed into oblivion due to the fact that bungie doesn't understand how to separate pve from pvp effectively making them all pretty much useless. Exotics use to feel exotic, but no more. Why? ??? But bungie has truly taken the fun out of destiny and to me it seems it's all an effort to continually change the meta in an effort to make it seem like this game actually has enough content to make it worth playing. I got it figured out and refuse to buy D2 unless pvp is completely separate from PVE, you know the thing bungie hyped up.
