You got people with skill who can bounce and shoot from air and basically parkour style. Then the bums who camp do the two shot hemlock and kill the skilled player.

Not really.

8 RepliesEdited by Psychic Donuts: 1/23/2017 5:50:51 AMTone doesn't have a counter, the Hemlock invites camping in a supposedly fast paced movement shooter, Pilot turrets are just easy kills and kill from such a long range. Most of the game is balanced, it's when some dick pulls out a Hemlock, Tone, or Pilot turret that it feels unbalanced. Edit: This comment was made out of a semi fit of rage. Hopefully the new buffs will counter the Hemlock, pilot turrets are getting nerfed, and Tone does have a few counters (way more direct than any other titan).

What do you think of the SMR? I find it lacking against titans (it isnt anti-titan specifically, but it does adequate damage), but if a titan is engaged with anither titan, i find shootin him with the sme has one specific advantage. It shoots fast with good damage, and can make even a good pilot frantic. Its loud too, so that makes them even more frantic. Muahahaha
-
Its fun that's what I think it is.

22 RepliesEvery weapon, every titan, every pilot, has a weakness.....find and eliminate the threat. Balance is not a problem, lack of adjustment is.
-
I'm older so I don't jump around and will melt you by just playing smart. Bounce around I'll just shoot you out of the sky. Gx 860 wins
-
I feel like it's very balanced. Some weapons could be dumbed down but overall titans, weapons, and abilities are all good. Except holo pilot. They need to buff that somehow

1 ReplyNo, player adaption just sucks

3 RepliesThis may be a bit of a read, but it is worth reading if you actually care about this game:
Is Titanfall 2's multiplayer unbalanced? Most certainly. Is this a bad thing? Definitely not. Things have been toned down a bit since the first game so it'll definitely take a bit of experience in order to nab Pilot kills. I'm terrible at close range encounters so I like to either run with a G2 or Kraber. I've switched from my normal Northstar to Scorch Prime for a while and while I wasn't particularly good with him at first I've definitely gotten much better. Sure, you'll see some things that make you think "wtf?", but just like any other game T-Fall 2's multiplayer is solely based on the individuals' skill and competence. In time, players will start to find combinations of weapons and abilities that will prove to have a slight advantage and that may call Respawn to look into and adjust the game to provide more balance so that players won't have to "follow the herd" and compromise what they might actually be comfortable playing with. They may even look into the current game and buff things that could be stronger and not OP. Until such happens, each player should take their time to learn what Pilot abilities and Titan kits they are comfortable with.

The best advice I can offer to a player, at least from my own experience, is this: •Do not limit yourself to a single Pilot or Titan setup. Switch between your loadouts during the match to help your team. Have a loadout for fighting Titans, long range and close range combat. •Be familiar with maps and learn the layout of the lanes and buildings. You can deal some good damage against Titans if you stay out of sight. It'll also help to find certain areas that players go through as you'll be able to counter and avoid them. •Accommodate to your personal strengths and weaknesses for Titans. If you're like me and use low aiming sensitivity then try using Northstar, Scorch or Ion. Your aim will reward you with how well you pace your own movement and the better you get at aiming the easier it is to control your opponents. •Titan weapon do have gimmicks to their range. Leadwall has a point when the blast/bullets disappear after hitting their max range. The Thermite launcher has the bottom half of the cursor align with its trajectory though it doesn't account for the range of launched canisters. Familiarize with how they do what they do so that you may use and abuse them. •Batteries only restore your shields. Since your Titan's health cannot be restored make sure to keep watch of your shields. If you select the Spare Battery as your boost, save it for when you have the chance to restore a Titan's shield. Don't be a stranger and help a fellow Titan out if you have the chance. Teamwork does not put nearly enough emphasis on a Titan's survivability as it should. •Be wary of the timing of a "Titanfall". There is no given marker of where a Titan will land so dropping one on top of an unsuspecting Legion will give you a free kill. This is a double edged sword, however, since you must be careful that it doesn't happen to you. Reapers do give a marker of where they drop so be careful since they can also kill your Titan in one hit if they land on you. •Learn how to make the most of the beginning of the match. You will always initially spawn opposite to the enemy team on the map, but this is more or less a disadvantage since you will spawn at the same lane. The beginning spawn point for Exoplanet will put you extremely close to the enemy team so make sure to avoid getting caught in a firefight if your not geared for it. •Minion kills are easier and quicker to get. Even though it may be easier to get Pilot kills at the match's start since there aren't Titans in the way, killing Grunts and Specters can drastically reduce build time if they become the bulk of your kills. In one of my previous matches, the lead player of the enemy team had nearly 40 Minion kills alone and quite a few Titans beneath their boot. Killing the enemy team may help in the long run, but killing the AIs alone can give a generous amount of points if you break apart those Specters and Reapers.

I'm better at aiming with the Thermite Launcher though killing Pilots is a still tricky. I've learned how to avoid and counter Tone and Northstar by crouching my S-P behind cover. When a Ronin starts closing in I'll put up Firewall to get some space before using Gas-Cans to cover the ground. I've also found the Extra Dash kit to be especially helpful for escaping Nukes since the AoE splash has been shortened. If you just take the time to practice, especially with friends and a friendly, active network, you will see improvement in your skill. It just takes a bit of time.
Edited by Doctor Electric: 1/21/2017 8:22:41 PMPilot sentry is unbalanced, Tone lacks a weakness. Otherwise it's fine.
-
Hemlock and the R2 could use wee a nerf, but damn those sentries....
-
Hemlok just needs a lil bump down. Maybe some other guns but I mostly find myself winning or loosing a 1v1 because of aim (or lack of it).
-
Edited by A KOOL POP TART: 1/21/2017 3:17:13 PMDevotion, pilot sentries, and Stim are the only three things I'd really like to see get tweaked. Stim in CTF is just unfair
-
3 RepliesTweaks are needed. Mostly buffs. Nerfs...not so much. Thunderbolt needs a massive buff, this is true
-
I usually reck tones with ronin....it's those ogre class Titans that give my jarvis troubles.
-
Hemlock and Devotion are op. The rest is fine
-
5 RepliesYes. Every gun is a sniper except the R97. Half of the anti-titan weapons are worthless. Tone takes barely any effort for plenty of kills. All titans except Ronin and Scorch have better long range damage than Northstar. Flight Core shoots half the missiles Salvo Core does despite constantly firing. Northstar's hover is too slow; the current upgrade kit should be her base speed. Ronin has to swipe twice to kill a doomed titan with Sword Core.
-
2 RepliesFor the most part everything is pretty balanced. I will admit that i hate how people will sit back on a large map with tone while i have scorch. As soon as i get close they start runnin and get far enough away to start sniping again. I feel as though they need some sort of damage drop for their range because right now it's pretty ridiculous
-
The other anti-Titan weapons need a slight buff MGL is pretty much the only one people use. Hemlock is fine. But some of the other primary's could use buffs. I don't know what to do with tone, personally I -blam!- up every time I see but that probably because I main a Ronin.
-
1 ReplyI havent played titanfall for months.. then i started again for the last few days. All i see is devotion spam. A little less R01 rifle or whatver. Less hemlocks. I was playing with the shotgun/wingman for once to spice things up today. I wasnt exactly mvp every game but atleast i got sweet revenge capping them with a wingman
-
The hemlock and devotion are too strong. Tone should be tweaked very slightly.
-
1 ReplyEdited by A Jackal Sniper: 1/20/2017 4:02:23 PMIn its current state, yes. Weapons like the hemlock and devotion need a nerf, while weapons like the Lstar and the spitfire need a buff. And dont get me started on tone and pilot sentry. Most of the weapons and titans are pretty balanced though, it's just a few things here and there.
-
No. In a good spot. Noobs use the r-201 so don't be a noob
-
3 RepliesNot too badly, besides tone.
-
Nope.
-
I don't think any weapons need nerfs so much as a lot of weapons need buffs. Like the Spitfire. It was very useful in TF1 and would melt titans with the hammer mod on it. Now it's not very useful. And sniping is basically pointless. The DMR is garbo and same goes for the Kraber.
