I have a problem with how much Bungie and Activision are pushing to be a heavily competitive game with the chances at MLG, and we really just don't need Destiny 2 going that way, not with it's PvE potential UNLESS PvE gets just as much attention. And after all of the complaints, Destiny's story never really got better, so I'm skeptical as to whether or not Destiny 2's will. I hope and think it will, but we don't know.

We don't know but I don't think going competitive will hurt their PVE ambitions. Going MLG is likely going to help the PVP aspect of the game, and could indirectly help PVE if it is how they justify paying for things like dedicated servers and improved net code etc.

Usually it's the later so I'm holding out hope we get the best of both worlds. Luke Smith is the head of the project and his background has been in raid development, so that at the very least is a good sign.
