People who main hunters in pvp.
Why?
Please be in depth. If you have played all three classes. What is it that makes Hunters superior to the other two classes?
I main hunter because I primarily play pve, but I apparently am missing the advantages in pvp.
So what draws you to main a hunter in crucible over the other options?

Edited by Pyro 509: 12/24/2016 8:22:13 PMMovement speed, skills in the tree that give you quick draw, or dodging advantages, triple jump & blink (blink is still great for backstab & playing rift), great supers, grenades, smoke, backstab, throwing knives! I mean, I love my warlock for pvp and feel like there are some serious OP builds, same with my titan and skating build, but hunters have had all stuff mentioned (aside from nightstalker sub) since day one where warlocks & titans feel like it varies through the updates & requires the right exotics to make the builds work

1 ReplyHunter pvp = easy mode that is why

The jump.

Shadestep is too much fun

I main a hunter in PVP because I like the Supers. Golden gun is great (especially with the Symbiote), Tether can be crazy useful if you've got decent communication with your team, and Bladedancer is fun as hell. Other than that, the Bones of Eao make it worthwhile too.

I main a hunter because it was my first character and my daughter designed if for me. Plus my titan looks like a fat Alice Cooper and my warlock can't jump.
-
2 RepliesI main a hunter cause I enjoy the style of movement. anyone wo tells you that Hunters are OP over other classes in PvP is full of shit, and a defeatist. classes in themselves are not OP , the players who use em can be.
-
It doesn't matter about the class, it matters about the player. Many people can be defined as "good" by using meta weapons, or just camping. But what makes hunters so "good" is because they are agile and thin, hunters are like ninjas. In addition, they're jump is the most controllable, it is the best, in Pvp if you are in the air to long you are -blam!-ed.

4 RepliesI like skilled class and hard gameplay. Not easy mode

Went with the hunter first because the description was the best fit for me. My oldest son started playing on my account and he created the warlock and titan. I tried warlock a tiny bit and just couldn't connect with the subclasses. Titans are eh to me. I'll use the titan and have some fun but always come back to hunter. When I first started we only had two subclasses. I feel in love with gunslinger. The throwing knives. The sticky tripmines. Golden gun. What wasn't there to love. Bladedancer was fun but I stuck with gunslinger. Everytime Bungie changed it fir good or bad i adapted and overcame. Nightstalker was introduced in year two and I was excited. Finally a void subclass that could support other guardians. I used it quite a bit in year two. It was strong in PvE but I just couldn't get used to it in PvP. I much rather throw a knife at someone then a weak smoke bomb. So to this day I tend to stick with gunslinger unless I'm bored or PvE calls for it. I'm a hunter and damn proud. Also a true hunter supports the other classes, not ridicule them.

I just main it because it was the first character I made. I dunno bout you

1 ReplyShadestep+jumps=confused players Partner that with a shotgun is why I like the class
-
Because jug takes two shots of a gg!
-
Because of Bladecancer because of the skips, Wumbo Combu, Celestial Nighthawk for farming strikes. Tether for support in pve, shadestep because it's broken, the cloaks, when it's mayhem, tripmines ftw, blink strike, and of course the most important reason; HOONTIR MUSTIR RAES

1 ReplyFor me, it's the cloak.

My warlock will always be my favorite because it was the first character I started on. But I feel like I play better with the Hunter because of the agility and jumps. It's a lot easier to get out of a bad situation with the Hunter than it is to get out of that same situation with a Warlock.

2 RepliesBecause golden gun is op but people don't know it. Shoot I mean... Nerf fusion riffles?
-
Jumps are good, supers are good, chain of woe is good, scavenger is good, trip mines are good (with young ahamkara's spine), lockdown+envenomed is good, flux grenades good, hungering blade good, throwing knife is fun, back stab is good, and shade step is good.

Jumps. I just love the jumps.

1 ReplyI actually like my Warlock more than I enjoy my Hunter in PVP. There's always been a special place in my heart that loves hurling huge purple balls of space magic in an enemy Guardians direction. 👌

1 ReplyI just like being more agile and the shadowstep gives me that,
sure people will complain as it is an easy run but they can play hunter too, they choose not to
I also like the ability of two grenades (vortex + smoke) instead of just one
again, people will probably say I should git gud, but I am generally the one alive
I also like the tether as I can snipe shot and tether enemies for quick kills

I don't rightly know if I'm honest. I started on a Hunter, played Hunter more than any other class. (more than what it shows with all my deleted characters) Used to use nothing but Gunslinger, from HoW to the last few weeks of TTK I used Bladedancer Now I'm back to Gunslinger. I have a very, very aggressive playstyle, so Bladedancer felt best. Gunslinger is essentially my attempt to not be within kissing distance of an enemy. (still fail there) Gunslinger probably has my favorite thing to do in PvP though. Throw a tripmine at a wall, forget about it, get a kill. Nothing better, especially when it's in Trials.

Batman in space!

Just like the look of the hunter better. The cloak....

2 RepliesGuile, charm, subtlety, stealth, glamour, style, intelligence, humour, as opposed to a brute force blunt instrument.

1 ReplyEdited by YummyYummYum: 12/20/2016 6:47:07 AMThe jump mostly. Though it's the only class that has an amazing support class (shadow hunter) and damage (gunslinger). Not t mention a pretty good PvP subclass (bladedancer). Then on too you have exotic armor that drastically effect the subclasses effectiveness lol. Ah right, another reason. The armor looks sleek and cool lulz.
