Defender vs Voidwalkers
Who do you think has mastered and controlled the power of the void better? This is for the most part from a lore standpoint as opposed to an in game standpoint. When doing voidwalker/defender subclass quests I noticed these two clashed a bit.

They see it as a means to protect their allies as it is an impenetrable and indestructible power Nightstalkers see it as a weapon, and that has been and will always be their undoing. The void is a conduit. It is unlike solar or arc. It requires the user to understand. So whilst they can weaponize it into all sorts of nicknacks, it consumes them. Just look at tevis. The answer is voidwalker. We stare, and walk into the void, where no one else dares to tread. We were first to use the void, and we understand it the most. For it encompasses all, and has no end and no beginning. It is not darkness. It is like all light; light seen through a prism; seen through the vacuum. And with this understanding, we utilize the void as it utilizes us.

I think it depends on the role you want to take. Offensive or supportive.

Lore wise Warlocks are masters of the traveler's energies. It's kind of their thing.

I would say Defenders probably hav more control over the Void, being able to turn it into immovable barriers or a personal shield, but that's more of a natural thing and Voidwalkers are always studying the Void and hav more knowledge of it, always looking for new ways to use it. Overall, I'd say Voidwalkers hav mastered the Void more than Defenders

12 RepliesVoid Walker's use the void to mount a major offensive, while defenders use the void to simply protect themselves and others, also if you shoot a nova bombs at a Ward of dawn in crucible,it breaks the bubble
