Edited by Olórin: 12/2/2016 10:11:52 PMI really wouldn't mind SBMM if it were to work... Like why they couldn't have a competitive playlist and a casual playlist is beyond me... Too busy trying to figure out how to get us to buy star dust or whatever the f**k it is. You just end up with shit like this:

Welcome to destiny... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cimjysf1Eds

Edited by SlyBlueCat: 12/2/2016 9:59:25 PMGreat video, I had six fusions shots in a game today that were guaranteed kills, no damage at all. Some were double shotted and no damage to them at all. Bailed on game/s. It won't be changed and I am not going to be part of D2. They won't fix the game because it doesn't matter everyone will buy D2 anyways.

lol I see this most games! It's not ptp at all It's lantency on some people's internet

I'll make a point of partying with people in other countries into matches then just to watch the salt. Red bars will never go away, SBMM is here to stay my sodium challenged friend.

5 RepliesI only started to like pvp after SBMM. Thanks Bungie!!

When i grow up , if I don't like something I might just do something else .
-
53 RepliesOh yes, they should just listen to the clamoring minority to f*ck over the happy majority. Silly Bungie

Never have a video game company in a state with legal marijuana. All they do is smoke pot all the time and listen to hipster music They are so unproductive.

334 RepliesEdited by Lord Imperius: 12/2/2016 10:14:48 PMI'm gonna put an end to all you crybabies right here. Bungie has stated, multiple times I might add, that matchmaking in the crucible prioritises connection quality above everything else, then SBMM. So that leaves only three real reasons as to why you're complaining; 1) You're being placed in games where people are in or around the same skill level as you, and because of that, you're dying more and losing more games. 2) Your internet is so bad that you're latching out for something to focus your frustrations on, and so happened to find SBMM. 3) You're a sheep, following the Destiny crowd and hoping on the ‘SBMM is terrible!’ bandwagon. I suspect it's 2). Why? Because you're not playing against other people who have a poor connection. Destiny doesn't have dedicated servers for the crucible, this means that the servers are P2P (Player to Player). If you encounter someone who's red barring/yellow barring, that means that you have a poor connection to them. It isn't bungie's fault that you're internet is bad. I literally haven't encountered a yellow/red bar player since the ending days of Y1/very early days of Y2, back when the lag was real. From around a week after TTK was released, I haven't encountered a single red/yellow barred player in the crucible. TLDR; Stop complaining because you're internet is terribad.

6 RepliesEdited by Dark Raven 2501: 12/3/2016 10:02:37 AMLove the video but yeah you're right it a joke and it not that funny. But what more funny is bungie going bankrupt from there own stupidity by not confronting the problems in this game when it could be easily fixed by using some commonsense

Here.....have some clay and crayons.....go to your safe space.

1 ReplyI rarely see red bars in PvP, this just me? Only time I see them is on trials and 1 or 2 people in my entire passage are red barring, plus in regular crucible I hardly see them.
-
Also there was a promise for vault space and it's been a while now.
It's so weird that alot of people in support of SBMM say that all the top people wanna stomp. All you guys wanna do is be coddled. It's the same argument Down with SBMM. Release the floodgates. Because honestly, it will hardly effect the majority of these people who don't want to get stomped. There's a reason they are the 1%.
8 RepliesMy favorite part of these posts are the stupid assholes. Some guy says "I just wanna play with people in the same country as me." Followed by "You just wanna stomp on scrubs you fgt." and "Fix your wifi bro I don't lag." SBMM has been proven time and time again to suck balls. (Facts & Data) No amount of home networking can fix the lag felt by playing 6 different countries in a 3v3 on a p2p connection. I can't believe people still don't understand this. Why do you people still play this game? I've lagged more in 1 single game of Destiny 3v3 than months worth of Battlefield 1 32v32. Buy a new game already.

Release the floodgates. Because honestly, it will hardly effect the majority of these people who don't want to get stomped. There's a reason they are the 1%. (There's less. That's how math works) Honestly, one of the worst parts is knowing I'll never get the chance to match with Mtashed or Hovey or Sir D. I WANT to play against those awesome players for the experience. I just want it fun again. (And for Bungie to actually be respectful to their community :/)

Thank you for having a brain.

Edited by drvankmen: 12/2/2016 9:06:37 PMI am still not clear on what advocates of sbmm can point to as the platform for promoting the matchmaking mechanic. To me it just seems to be the opposite of what they seem to take issue with the most. "you just want to pubstomp". "i don't want to get pubstomped." Is that the whole of it? I can't imagine that these players would be unable to find a lobby that was formed by connection only where they could be relevant and have a gameplay they are satisfied with, even if you are in the bottom n% of the bell curve. If you are in a lobby with too many strong players... try another. Maybe the next one suits you. You see, both sides of the argument are saying basically the same thing. We don't want to face strong opponents all the time in public playlists. The difference is sbmm is inescapable and causes the matchmaking engine to make compromises when it cannot match you with like skilled players with optimal connections. Queue another lobby and you can expect the same thing ad nausea. with cbmm the game you are looking for could be the next lobby away...

Haven't jumped on the bandwagon until now. Hopped on my friends account with a 0.9 KD. It was the most fun casual experience ever, having a 1.25 apparently puts you against crucible champions who are all 1.5+. It was the first time the crucible experience was fun and casual to play.
