Lets be real, Rise of Iron was worth 10 - 15$
Low content. Most of the content was from the original idea of House of Wolves.

I'll agree, the amount of content was rather disappointing, but I'm used to Destiny releasing pitifully small, re-skinned DLC's. If they would have charged anything over $30 I probably wouldn't have bought it. Do I feel I got my money's worth- you bet! I had a blast whipping through the DLC and raid, got some nice gear (love the new IB gear!) and put some time into some fun private matches. But I'm done with the game for now (reached 400 on all characters, completed all raid challenges, and completed my book) and will eagerly await another DLC. Until then, I'm enjoying Titanfall 2, BF1, Dishonored, Tales from the Borderlands, and even started a new toon on Borderlands 2.

So... 3 on the WWC scale (whopper with cheese)? About 1/2 on the TTA scale (trip to airport) About 1 on the PTM scale (prime time movie) An hours work at the new suggested minimum wage. Your time must not be worth much.

I dropped $30 on it because I blow that on lunch at work. But is it worth that? Nah, we got played by Bungie. Boring raid, reskin of the cosmodrome, a "new social area", which we already have one too many of those as it is, and not much else. Oh they gave us the Gally back... I have maybe one or two friends that still play this game. I used to have 3+ pages full. But I got my fun out of it. Still love all the good times I had with it, but been really enjoying all the other great games out right now. I'll be back for D2, but only after I've read reviews, watched it on stream etc. No more blind pre-order from Bungie. They've typically under delivered in this game. I'll see if they've learned from their past before buying the sequel.

And the price tag for Destiny is definitely justifiable with the amount of time most of us play it. I've played for almost a months worth of time since July 2015. I'm OK with how much I've spent seeing what I've gotten out of it. Edit: Turns out I've played over 7 weeks worth. So yeah... Definitely worth the money I've spent.

TDB was worth nothing House of wolves was worth maybe 10$ Rise of Iron was worth 15 I'd say And the Take King although was really good was only worth 20$ it had a 3rd of the content of vanilla Destiny(60$) so it should have only been a 3rd of vanllia's price.

RoI wasnt worth a nickle the only thing worthwhile in this entire game are the friends ive met playing it. Thats the only redemable value ive seen in all my too many hours playing it

I can see both sides of the argument. Most of the destiny gameplay comes in the the post-storyline content. Leveling up, raids, crucible, iron banner, nighfalls etc... Thus for how many hours I've put into Rise of Iron (about two months of steady game play) it feels worth $30 to me. That being said I got similar amounts of gameplay out of the first two DLC's in year 1 and they only cost $15 each. I would argue they were much better bang for your buck :)

12 RepliesI've enjoyed ROI so much more than TTK. The only thing I actually liked about TTK was the Taken Ultra spawns during Patrol! I still play the new raid and find it to be the best raid since VOG. Sure, the amount of content other then the raid isn't very much, but to me it was all enjoyable. I love the Aksis fight and despite it taking me ten hours combined doing multiple tries with groups from lfg, the challange is fun to do. When it all works out it's like a perfect ATHEON fight. All sorts of moving parts with everyone eventually coming together to unload on the boss. Very fun. Sure I wish there was a few more original Siva strikes instead of reimagined Y1 versions, but all in all I've enjoyed this DLC. My biggest complaint is that after SRL, it looks like it's going to be a pretty big content drought until D2. We haven't heard anything about D2. Haven't seen any D2 game images or content. Zero trailers. So, considering they said it was dropping in 2017, I am a little worried that it won't be coming out until Dec 31, 2017. Think about it. If it was really coming out in '17, it's gotta be real close to finished. Don't you think they would be releasing something from it to keep us interested and invested in this Franchise? I don't know. I wouldn't be shocked to find out it's being push to 2018.

I usually fall to the dollar an hour deal,so if I payed $60 on a game and enjoyed playing and had at least 60 hours on it I would have found it to be worth it

I agree. But I'm having fun with it. I'm still annoyed with minor issues that seem easy to fix, such as adding worth while raid gear, making all exotics current, and the continued lack of elemental primaries (many, many ways to do this that add variety). Other than that, it's fun. Just a light on content.

2 RepliesLook, you want great value and play Destiny? Then just wait like 2 years after the game launches and you should be able to pick it up cheap. Like right now, you can get the whole game with every dlc on sale for $34.99 on Amazon.

Agreed i say $15, ttk $30. Y1 dlc was rightfully priced if u bought expansion pass.
