An Auto won't stop fast moving Titan-skating shotgunners in time.
I've had Titans a good 30-ish feet away, normal time to smoke a opponent before they close the gap, however Titans close the distance SO FAST makes an auto almost useless against mid range opponents.
Got to be a fix Bungie, otherwise it forces mid range players to play last word to stop mid-range shotguns.
EDIT: it would be more correct to say the distance I use is when opponent Is still a red-line before they are a red-block on the radar. If they are a red-block In radar I do not consider it mid. But if they are still a red-line JUST before they turn to a red-block I consider that mid.

If you don't wanna switch your loadout, try running until their shield goes down.

2 RepliesFusion rifles are actually pretty overlooked in the meta. The trials one or 77 wizard MELT rushing shotgunners if you don't let them close the gap. It takes some getting used to, but they're a great option to counter the meta effectively.

I carry Saladins Vigil in PvP, it seems to work against most people rushing in before they're in range for they're hulk smash or shotgun.
