Everybody is saying how Rise of Iron is too short and that there are not enough activities, which is kind of true. But does no one remember the first two expansions? They were a couple levels and a raid/poe. The same size as roi. Everyone just expected it to be the same size as the taken king. But roi was just meant to take up time until
destiny 2. Would you rather there be no roi? Because if there wasn't you would be stuck doing the activities in taken king. And I'm guessing that if that were the case most people would have quit destiny by now.

Roi was exactly what I expected it to be. Only thing bugging me about roi is how messed up crucible has been ever since.
-
Because it's like most of the other expansions. "Oh this is fantastic, I love this!" To "Holy crap Bungie, I just consumed all this content within a span of a few days and you don't have anything else? You'd sucks."
-
First, why is the first defense about something in this game being crap is to mention that there were other things in this game that were crap too? Second, is the next defense is that Destiny 2 is on the way. Why are they allowed to continue to release crap?

Edited by Teal'c: 11/27/2016 12:20:52 AMIT was originally a dlc for TTK (or some parts of it) Forge of Gods and Vex Void

Edited by Swiftlock: 11/27/2016 12:19:50 AMBecause of terrible weapon balancing and a matchmaking system that tries to treat a casual game like it's a competitive game - which doesn't work. That's why people have problems with RoI. Glad I could answer your question.

Hate is a strong word. I'd say disappointed in the lack of content and no meaningful replay ability of the little content introduced are the reasons why the game has finally died. We waited through an extremely long content drought for ROI. I finished ROI maxed everything, got all weapons, completed book, etc etc in 8 weeks. Now what another 10 month content drought? Yep. Time to play something else.

1 ReplyRoI was just reskinned BS. we got what? 5 new gun models across the board, a few new armor sets, 2 new strikes, and a raid. The new enemy we fight is the same enemy we've been fighting all along + the power of Twizzlers. The new raid us short and the gear is crap. The Crucible didn't change drastically after RoI. It still feels like the same game.

The difference is back in the previous updates it was still a hell of a grind to hit the level cap and you 'had' to come back week on week to do the raid to get that elusive piece of raid gear that maxed your character out. There was no infusion back then people would have 3 of the same character just to try move the raid gear to level one up to max . The taken king introduced a new light lvl system but it was still a real grind getting to the 320 cap most people needed a class item or ghost but at 319 going into the raid and you'd get a 314 ghost felt like a kick in the Balls. It wasn't till the April update that we had 1:1 infusion and we all hit max light in about 3hrs. And therein lies the problem we've had so many improvements in the route to max light that most people hit the level cap on day one and once they have all the new gear they want there isn't a lot to play for. Nightfalls are crap the raid showers you with loot, Pvp drops up to max light. This community really enjoyed the grind and now that's been taken away people are feeling rather bitter. I however am still enjoying this game even tho I'm not doing much pve the Pvp is keeping me interested and I'm committed to improving my game

3 RepliesI've heard plenty of positive remarks about "Rise of Iron". The story was especially well-received, and I've heard good things about the raid as well. The chief negative seems to have concerned Supremacy, since it froze out snipers and made shotguns even more dominant than they already were.

7 RepliesI've been playing since the beta, and this has honestly been my favorite DLC out of all of them.

1 ReplyAs shitty as tdb was, the first two dlcs entertained me more than RoI and TTK combined (with their respected events and the April update). We haven't had something fresh in so long, we just continue where we left off. I got so burned out because I've done everything so quickly. I got the few exotics I needed, got all characters to 400, went flawless a few times, did both challenges, did the FoTL quest, almost got max grimoire (which is now super annoying due to the current meta), got all the artifacts, and now I only need one supremacy win until I'm don't my book. The crucible is so god damn annoying I don't even want to get one win in supremacy. Destiny 2 NEEDS a fresh start.

The micro transactions fuel a large part of the hate. Silver economy, festival of the lost, ordinance, etc.

1 Replyi mean... roi is pretty much like crota. the only difference are the ornaments and the record book. they could have just priced it 20 bucks instead of 30 and raising hopes in it being bigger than the first 2 expansions. bungie constantly says "we learned, we learned" but they didnt learn anything that matters for the players. the only thing they learned is that the players will throw money at the screen for everything. after 2+ years every single story mission just plays like the rest. nothing new or interessting about it. why dont we team up with a character that stupid expansion is all about for once? why didnt saladin or one of the wolves join us? why not make story missions about the traveller or other already existing characters like the exo stranger? why did they create the biggest cashgrab (festival of the lost) and didnt try anything fun with it? i mean, how amazing would it have been if, instead of getting the fire wolf mask from a shitty rng box, they actually created a limited special strike, similar to the exotic sword strike, and made the final boss a siva resurrected wolf or a burning wolf and you could get the mask from that strike? couple it with the background story of it being jolders or saladins wolf or something and we had a bit more than "oh look, something new killed 8 iron lords. im sending you out there to finish it solo. we also have a copy paste event from last year." yes, i know the reason is they just wanted the money and all but... cmon. we need to go forward and try something new, not make the same mistakes and boring plays again and again.

Everyone doesn't hate it. The majority are just playing it. The whiners are here complaining. Gives a distorted picture.
-
It was a less than half ass effort for the same price of ttk. There was more content in the free April update.

10 RepliesFunny, I just spoke to Everyone and they said that you have no idea what you are talking about...Are you going to try and say that Everyone is wrong now?
-
1 ReplyYes, but you had a lot more activities you could earn rewards for. Now it's one raid and couple strikes.
