Nearly 2 weeks not playing this game. I feel more free than ever now. I go outside and talk to the people. I am getting more done in general. My outlook on life is better now. I highly recommend everyone takes extended breaks from playing. It will do you all a world of good.

WhoOOOoooOoooo nobody gives a shiieeet

Since it released in 2014 I've taken about 10 months worth of breaks, and the game feels more enjoyable when you return, and yeah you do feel like you get more done, but generally you are getting more done as you're not playing. The reason it feels good to take a break is because of the burn out.

If you weren't having an outside social life before Destiny then it wasn't the game that was the problem, it is you and your terrible choice of priorities.

1 ReplyIf you need to take a break from video games to actually go outside and live you're far from okay. My advice to you or anyone similar is to leave games alone period until you get things sorted out. Nothing artificial should ever push a person away from real life. If it gets to that point, you simply can't handle whatever is causing it. In this case, video games. Balance is the key to life, not simply ignoring something that has a hold on you.

Yeah, I gotta get back into it. Haven't finished a raid yet. Too many other things to do.
-
I got grounded and haven't played since 11/4/16 other games are just boring cuz I have such a small amount of choices of video games to play

Edited by Darian: 11/25/2016 4:51:15 AMI would say destiny is doing good if everyday people feel the need to tell everyone they are quitting destiny like it's an achievement

Here is the best thing. You have not missed a damn thing. Nor are you likely to for quite some time.
-
I've been free since 10/30, and it feels great. There's so many other games grabbing my attention. Destiny just isn't doing it for me right now, but maybe I'll be back for the winter update... maybe

This game does some crazy shit to people...

Thanks for letting us know how free you are on these Destiny Forums...

1 ReplyDestiny free? I think not. You are posting on a Destiny forum. That's the peak of Destiny addiction. You aren't playing it But you sure nuff thinking bout it.
-
2 RepliesI have 3 words for you; FUS RO DAH!!!

1 ReplyLol! I literally quit around the same time as you. Only i deleted all my characters to avoid the temptation to come back. Well, almost, turns out they Don't let you delete them all you have to make a 4th character then delete the 3rd from that one only you Still have all your shared storage. ..point is, i didn't even want to go to those lengths so i Still have my hunter left which is ironic since that's the character i started with. Here's the thing, getting tempted to come back. I quit in the first place because of trials. I have 8 ornaments so don't say it's because can't go lighthouse. I Did. It's my friends who couldn't get there and is because if the BS Cheating! So i had Enough of Bunhole and just left. ..and you're Right. It's Sooooo liberating. ...now srl is coming back and I'm having to fight the temptation since i Still have a Guardian in the Fight

Been Destiny Free since after Festival of the Lost. Before The Taken King DLC I went the whole summer without Destiny.

Edited by DeusFever: 11/25/2016 2:53:43 AMLast year I deleted Destiny a couple of days after the Oryx challenge mode came out. It was liberating. When you realize this game will end one way or another, the leveling up bs doesn't matter so much anymore. Playing for fun is better, and if you don't have fun, don't bother.

*Expected left the game to play a different game *left dissapointed
