Nearly 2 weeks not playing this game. I feel more free than ever now. I go outside and talk to the people. I am getting more done in general. My outlook on life is better now. I highly recommend everyone takes extended breaks from playing. It will do you all a world of good.

Good for you, in your absence have you thought of any changes you would make to Destiny to make it better so you wouldn't have to take a break?

In year one, after Dark Below, I got bored and dropped the game for around 3 months. Picked up again right before TTK dropped, played consistently until around February, took off until the April update. Playing consistently (with other games in between) since ROI. All characters maxed now, already got full IB armor and weapons, getting bored again. I only play now for the social aspect of being in a party and messing around with friends. Like having an epic game of "Duck, Duck, Goose" at the tower....... people were watching us like we were insane.

3 RepliesAlmost a month since I stopped playing. Got real boring. Been playing the witcher, very fun game with a solid story. Keeps you playing

I took a 7 month break and it was nice. Now I am back as of new dlc and it's been real again. The Division was doing well but after patch 1.4 and 1.5 the game utterly spun out and failed. Such a shame. It was great in concept but Ubisoft and massive really keep messing the game up to the point of why grind for a few weeks to have that gear obsolete the following week and new mods the following week. Not my idea of fun.

Is that why you came to the destiny forum's......
-
Yeah, I'm going on a week now. I'll return at some point, I'm sure of it. I finally gave Warframe a shot though, and I'm really enjoying it.

It feels good right, didn't play since October

You lose friend. You posted on the forums, like a drug addict trolling the streets for a dealer.

It's great isn't it?

I empathize VERY DEEPLY with you, bud! I went through some personal things during year one and Destiny became kind of a crutch/safe haven for me. That eventually became a problematic obsession. Then I took nearly a couple months shy of a year off of playing it. I now play much more casually and am pretty close to only having the desire to play for SRL, IB (until I get all the weapons), and any updates that add content...Which I'm assuming April 2017 will bring the updated VOG and Crota's End with the exotics? Maybe not. Lol But my point is that Destiny was amazing, but brought out some crazy addiction in me I never imagined was there. Time away from this game is highly recommended! You'll gain a much healthier appreciation for it.

Good for you man, feels like a illness at times. Can be so addictive and for little to no reward. And to all the Haters.. so you have better hand eye coordination.. doesn't give you the right shit on people who also love gaming. In my opinion they need to push SBMM harder So we don't have to even entertain or inflate these jerks egos.
