Nearly 2 weeks not playing this game. I feel more free than ever now. I go outside and talk to the people. I am getting more done in general. My outlook on life is better now. I highly recommend everyone takes extended breaks from playing. It will do you all a world of good.

Pity you didn't take a break off the forums with this slop.

Lol ... Balance dude balance
-
Not played since gears 4 came out tbh I feel better for it it's the constant grind that got me down
-
I haven't played a single match since last night. #freedom
-
I'll still be here playing when you come back.....unless destiny 2 is out

2 RepliesDestiny forum = the gaming version of Alcoholics Anonymous.
-
Still thinking about it, however seeing as you're on here and all. Next steps... uninstall the app(s) from your phone, remove b.net from your favorite link.
-
I haven't played since the 12th. Gave me time to hit diamond skill rating in Overwatch and play some Titanfall 2. Gonna hop on the Division and check out Survival at some time. Feelsgoodman

7 RepliesThe games not exactly cocaine or any other narcotic so don't get the post or by your description it seems to be an addiction you're getting over. There is a world put there to discover bud, try it.

4 Repliesbeen playing strictly overwatch for the last week, and it honestly feels like blizzard cares about me so much more. No AFK players, if im in a party ill match up against other people in a party, and i havent had any lag problems yet (not one!) Also, I love the way blizzard handles cheaters. I havent seen anyone hacking or lag switching or any of that bs, and I think Blizzards zero tolerance policy and name and shame discipline really help to create this kind of fun no bs experience for me

1 ReplySounds like you had an addiction. Glad you're managing your time better, but not everyone struggles with it the same way you did.
-
1 ReplyTaking a break is always recommended, not just from Destiny. Any game you play religiously can start getting tedious and boring. I've been enjoying Mayhem Clash this week, but after that, it's back to other games as well as being all social and shit.

You must be having withdrawal symptoms. The Bungie forums are like methadone for former Destiny users.
-
3 RepliesAgreed. I took off for like 8 months and loved it. Once I get 400 on all 3 characters I'm done again. Iron banner is worthless cause no rank 5 packages. Raid is worthless after you get 400 gear. Just very boring now and bungie are money grubbing mother suckers. Deej is God awful and the loot system is trash. By far one of the worst communities/company in existence.

2 RepliesSo why are you on the app then??
-
Been destiny free since 11/24/2016** There I corrected you.
-
Good on ya for recognizing your own failings and taking time off, if you needed to, but don't presume to know what's best for others.
-
1 ReplySkrub. I've been destiny free since 11/12/16.
-
1 ReplyIf you can't balance work and play you shouldn't have been playing in the first place. Some of us can play while still maintaining our social and professional responsibilitys.

Switched to titanfall 2. Play an hour or less a Day, and much more on weekends. there is no more grinding pressure and you don't have the Feeling you Miss sth while not playing. Wanted to go back today, but when you realize how unbalanced crucible is, you just can't. But it was a great time, played over 500 h and preordered my first dlc. Lets see if i come back for Destiny 2. Was worth every € i spend for this game (brought Glimmer for 5 €, too ;)) Fun fact: most of the ppl i used to play with stopped playing around the same time.

4 RepliesI stopped playing for six months. When you take a break and come back you don't take the game seriously anymore. It doesn't even bother me how stupid Deej's weekly bullshit is anymore.
-
Good for you. Took about a year off right after HOW dropped. Came back just in time to level up with kings fall and have done some RoI.

35 RepliesEdited by Kaerti: 11/25/2016 1:24:33 AMI'm pretty sure anyone would feel refreshed when they take a break after spending 39 days playing a 0.59 kd
-
2 RepliesI stopped playing for about 7 months. Came back because of RoI. It is refreshing though.

Good for you, in your absence have you thought of any changes you would make to Destiny to make it better so you wouldn't have to take a break?
