We didnt ask how it worked. We asked you to remove SBMM (I don't want it removed, just adjusted. Solution in thread. )

There are a lot of misconceptions fabricated by those who don't understand SBMM and what I want done with it to help with lag.
Top 1% suffers the most due to low population and distance
Top 25% get introduced into more higher skilled lobbies especially with a poor connection. Some could say that this is fine so that there is room for improvement. But it should be balanced.
Top 50% have relatively smooth match making. Only if you have a good connection.
If you have a bad connection you still have a good chance at getting into laggy matches with higher skilled team mates and enemies.
Lower skilled players don't really complain about SBMM but again connection is a major factor in the outcome of the MM settings so I seldom see complaints.
A great solution would be.
To remove the algorithms that expand connection requirements and skill requirements. And introduce a GEO FILTER so that you will not connect to people outside of an area in your country or your country as a whole.
This suggestion will create an improved MM system. Longer times in orbit maybe. But we dealt with it in Y1. We can deal with it again. It depends on if you're comfortable with it.
Also if the community wants something and they realize it was a mistake. Then the developers should be able to recognize that it isn't fully working as intended and it needs a fix.

We had Unbalanced, lopsided matches in year one. Then the Meta of TLW and Thorn came about Felwinter Snipers with final round (Even autos and Vex back then) Taken King came into play Sbmm reeked of new hope TLW And Snipers And Nightstands hunters And Sunbreaking titans And StormCalling Warlocks were born The Sniper Meta ran the show. Allegedly the man, a 23 year old Destiny player, came to his actions due to being a victim of severe 'teabagging' in Destiny. Teabagging, a practice in which one player's digital character lowers his nutsack into another one's face, has often lead to serious debate. While some players may find a good teabag rather amusing, others find it offensive. The suspect claimed to have been teabagged by a 'noob who only had 7 kills in an entire match, most of which even with a Matador 64'. According to his lawyer there are good chances the court will recognize how crappy current meta is in Destiny and sympathize. President Trump also responded to the situation on live television saying that 'only pussies use shotguns'. He then continued to say everyone should remain calm and that he will personally address Bungie to 'Fix their shit' and 'Make Destiny great again!'. Later the day an official announcement from the White House came out stating the 2nd Amendment now includes fusion rifles and that the Pocket Infinity will be restored to it's former glory before it's first nerve in year 1.

I usually struggle to keep a 1KD rate, but lately I've been killing it. Is it now skill-based? That would make sense because my skill level is higher than it is since I started playing crucible right off the bat I have never played a game in 10 years prior. I got killed a lot to start off but now I seem to be doing well.

I've been doing well in the crucible -- well enough that I was almost two weeks with usually around 1.5 kdr, and a recent high of 12. I really felt like I had improved a lot, and maybe I did. But when I went into MM with my friend at standard kdr of 1.7 and recent high of 2.6, I was getting stomped and struggled to go positive. I took it as a lesson that I have a long way to go, and that at top play Hunters are ridiculous AF Lol. I also learned that Shotgun elite with TG and Jugg are extremely dominant against average and better than average players. However, after realizing that that is what the next tier of players is, I would definitely not want to enjoy that on a regular basis. Even my friend who was dominating the leader boards admitted this is why he solo ques, so that the rest of us don't have to go through that. Maybe a social list and a ranked list aren't the solution, but at the current state, something has to change.

Why remove it? If your reasons are because you want to play noobs. Well then, move along. The reasoning has 0 weight to it. SBMM is here to stay. If you don't like it well hey there's other games for you to play.
