Want to get Bungie's attention? Stop playing untill they do something about crucible issues. Keep using forums, but play other games for now.
They will have no choice but drop their arrogance.

I was shocked that so many were able to come together and spam forum posts, however... I lack the faith in this community to see this actually happening. It's a good idea, and could probably even help, call me pessimistic, but I don't think this is gonna happen. Though, on the off-chance that an organized "Quit Day" does come about, let me know, and I'll participate.

5 RepliesThis is a great idea in theory, but this would have to reach out far beyond the Bungie forums for any sort of impact to be made. If this was flooded on Reddit and the call to.... well, NOT arms .... was sent out to major media sites like Kotaku, IGN, GameSpot, Forbes, etc. -- That would be enough to make an impact. A few thousand player drop wouldn't mean much. But a several thousand player drop on a holiday weekend in Bungie's home country might. If you're serious I'd encourage making this much, much, MUCH bigger than these forums.

I stopped about six weeks ago. I was a pretty obsessive player. I have many, many, many hours logged in this game... so quitting wasn't actually easy. Lol. I went through a little withdraw. But I can honestly say that I am less frustrated and ragey on a daily basis, I have more time to experience IRL, and I'm not reporting someone for cheating every other match anymore. I'm learning to trust again. lol. And this is the first time that I have been back to the forum since I quit. (hiatus actually.... I plan on getting Destiny 2 next year.... I just had enough with D1) I am noticing from going through some of these threads that the same issues are still happening in this game, which reinforces my decision to stay away. I felt pretty unhealthy playing such a broken crucible. Like, I knew how absolutely f'd up it is, yet i'd still play it everyday. It felt like dating a crazy girlfriend.... yeah, sometimes you'd have a little fun and feel "rewarded" by it, but mostly it was me just putting up with 2 hours of crap for a half our of fun. Not worth it, at this point. I miss my clan mates.... they're cool dudes... but I feel better than when I was cramming 3 hours of Destiny into my everyday routine. Too much. So, if you care about your health and you feel yourself acting a little obsessive or addicted or you are taking yourself too seriously, just stop. No big deal. The game will still be there when you want to come back. But I highly doubt that Bungie is going to fix the Crucible of D1, at this point. If anything, people quitting the game will make their lives easier at this point. Less traffic means they can pull more people over to D2 development. They're over this game. D1 is an after thought.

4 RepliesI stopped playing a while ago and i used to be on this shìt everyday for hours. I had fun and still played some of the last iron banner and will play trials from time to time. To the people complaining about 30 dollars got me 5 missions and 2 strikes and etc, dude i paid 30 dollars for my dinner last night and now I'm hungry again. You paid 30 dollars for a game you played for weeks. Just stfu already about the price of the DLC.

I stopped back during Iron Banner, didn't even worry about reaching rank 5. I had been slowing down for weeks before then only playing a small amount. But I did not stop for the reason you state. The fact is, Destiny is pretty dull right now. I rarely raid, I don't play any Trials, and in fact reached 400 with all of my characters without ever stepping into the raid (played it once after that just to experience it.) I'm fairly certain a large portion of the more casual chunk (and it's a large chunk) of Destiny players are already playing other games, and with the massive void of active players, their matchmaking system is suffering and showing poor results to those still active. If the December event has a majority of its content behind another paywall (like Festival of the Cos..., er I mean Lost) expect the community to stay in this slump, and unless they severely change the way their matchmaking system works (if that is even possible with their outdated engine) it is not going to improve. [spoiler]Don't get me wrong, I love Destiny and have 1000+ hours, but I just don't see why people keep beating a dead horse and instead don't move on to other games to at the very least take a break and come back when there is a reason to play again. Since a large portion of Destiny players never visit forums on bungie.net or elsewhere, I doubt your suggestion will have any effect, but good luck anyway![/spoiler]

while the idea works on paper, it will be just as successful as telling people to stop driving or even stop purchasing gas for one day.. not enough people will ever get on board to make a difference.

As a primary PVE player this is the first DLC where I could care less about the raid and have been playing way more PVP and i'm seeing all the problems that strick PVP players are seeing.....except for ToO. I don' play trials because I don't want to feed the tolls but for the first time in about 2 years I'm looking for a new game.
