Some of the things that i would like to see for one is old armor brought back and be able to be rerolled with the newly acquired perks they had from coming to year 3 from year 1, and rerolling using year 1 materials from say VOG or Crota. Another thing i would like to see is some mash up in the current meta. In my experience i have seen many shotgun warriors roam the crucible(mostly with juggernaut) and they have been domianting. Why you ask? its because simply it is now more advantageous to run around with a shotty because unless they are a good player, you will come out on top of the engagement especialy when you shouldn't, that is due to the fact that primaries are weak except for a few(clever dragon). In any case here is my vision for Destiny. Now take into account that I used to have an old account called TheGentlemen15, however now I have my account SheHuntsMe. Now why did i get a second account? simply because my brother and I had wanted to play together. So despite being a day one player I still have seen the tragedy known as dismantling old year 1 gear. Now I hate the fact that my brother dismantled all the old stuff and now docent care enough to play so i can't even play with the weapons i had rightfully grinderd for a long time ago, due to some shortsighted decision making from my brother. Now my beloved efrideets spear( no i didn't have final round i liked to win by skill) i had on my brothers account( he deleted it without consultation) so now I'm stuck with the fact that my brother deleted all my hard earn goodies and i can't do anything about it. But i guess thats life when you come from a family of eight siblings. Moving on, i just feel as a player that I got cheated out of some things that i had longed to see again. In taken king i was excited to see the return of efrideets and felwinters lie( despite the hate surrounding both) I just wish that I felt a sort of contigency within the game. If you really wanted to be diverse i feel you shouldn't have done some silly things, i.e. change the archetypes of certain weapons. I feel the need for diversity but if that were truly accurate than there would be two sets of every gun. As in when i went to go get my hands on some goods from good old lord saladin I was waiting to be appeased by a high impact low rate of fire sniper. Instead i saw the opposite in weylorans. Now lets all be adults for a minute and say that yes while it did bring some change in the weapons, it didn't mean anything. I can't recall in all my trials carries when i ever saw someone use weylorans march as a legitimate sniper. For the simple facts that it can't kill supers or rez snipe or kill someone with an overshield. all of these things tuned me out to the gun(weylorans) as i saw that using it may detriment my sniping as if i relied on the high aim assist value than switched to a more competitive sniper such as ldr or longbow, than it might mess up my aim after adjusting to the high aim assist. Now i like the variation behind this but you have to understand with any marketing strategy who you are talking to i.e. your audience. In this case the non competitive players and the highly competitive players. Thats why i say the reason diversity is dead in certain time periods of Destiny history. I remember in year 1 i could pop into a crucible match and be killed by benevolence or longbow or ldr or efrideets as they were considered top tier weapons. On the other side it was either felwinters, matador, party crasher, or two to the morgue, or even on occasion dry rot. Yet now i am saddened as now we move into a new year where to the hopes of most, there are some weapons that have been returned to the destiny community to enjoy once again and i am thankful for that. Thats why i say want not bring back some more things from year 1? If you asked any new destiny player what their favorite weapons are it will all be from what they have seen in year 3. So with that being the case its probably what is used at the top tier of the spectrum i.e. winged word, devils dawn, event horizon, longbow or ldr, or matador. Now with the sniper nerf coming into play I'm sure that many of these new players have been killed time and time again by the matador. Why is this? simply it is the best shotgun in the current meta to be using and i dont have a problem with people using what works i mean why wouldnt they its the best load out they can have. I just wish that if i were going to get killed by something in everyday crucible that it wouldnt be just simply because some weapons have stayed in year 1 and others have come into year 3. I hate the fact that none of the new weapons received are of the top tier variety. Take into account dedrises retort, a very fun shotgun, but one not suited for PvP. Now why do I say this? Simply as a statement of fact. It has a considerable amount of less impact and a slight variation in range when in comparison with other shottys. now I understand why they wanted to give it an archetype but why not make it the new year 2 felwinters? If you are going to reinvent a gun at least make it competitive with the other weapons out there in the same exact boat. Nobody uses things like weylorans or dedrises simlply as there are better guns to use in their place. That tends to make Destiny very stale, very quickly as only one or two weapons are actually deemed competitive and thus since those weapons are top tier everything else gets pushed to the side. All low impact snipers with high rates of fire should be conjoined to form one archetype, same with shotguns where you have low rate of fire high impact or vice versa. I would love to use dedrises or weylorans if they were actually competitive int the current meta of destiny. But not all hope is lost you can still make weylorans like efrideets and dedrises like felwinters, and the reason i say to do this is so that you dont have a stale meta where one or two weapons reign supreme on the top. But if you are really hell bent on the difference of archetypes and giving players different options to choose from, then why not give them two different options from the same vendor as in why not have lady efrideet sell both efrideets and weylorans. That way you satisfy both crowds. My real problem is that diversity in load outs or i should say guns, are bland in destiny in the current ROI meta. All I'm trying to say is if you are going to make one weapon in the game be able to outbeat and out perform other weapons in the game, why not make it so that other weapons are able to compete at a higher level and come in line with the guns or gun that reigns in that particular meta. I would much rather be killed by a lot of different weapons, having all the same killing potential, instead of pushing other guns aside and using what works. Its just sad that weapons such as weylorans and dedrises, despite being sold by a vendor for PvP purposes dont even compete well in the environment they were developed for. While it is sad that i will never be able to experience my efrideets again with my favorite roll and weapon damage type( arc damage, shortages, outlaw, quickdraw, and firefly) but that is life, but it would make me over joyed to see certain things brought back to stay for the remaninder of destiny, because despite speculation that upon being brough back, they might be over powered, they wouldnt be due to the rolls that are now limited to year 3 rolls instead of year 1 rolls like they used to have.
