Hey there, Some of the Year 3 (Rise of Iron) Faction class items are not properly registering for the Exotic Faction class item quests. Bungie is aware of this issue and actively investigating for a fix. Do you happen to have any Year 2 Faction class items or a Faction [u]Spektar[/u] variant class item? The Year 2 and Spektar class items are not affected by this issue. If you do not have any, you can still possibly receive a Spektar class item from ranking up and opening a [b]Chroma[/b] Armor package for the given Faction. I've done two exotic class item quests since RoI with a year 3 class item with no issues. Equip the emblem, shader, class item and ship and it should work (tested it on my hunter and if I unequipped the ship, the progress stops weirdly).

Y3 class items are bugged. If you don't already have a Y2, you'll need to start choosing Chroma armor packages from the faction, and hope you get a class item that will let you progress.
