Why don't people use the First Curse in PvP more often?

I remember in Year One, The Salt from the Tears of the Many laid to waste by the power of the Last Word, was superfluous enough to fill the biggest crater on the Moon. And now, it seems that Karma has returned in the form of it's sister, The First Curse. Really. This thing shreds hard. Everyone's using the Clever Dragon now, which is cool. But, if you are proficient with Hand Cannons and are quick on the fly, give that thing a try. I have used it for the last number of Banner Matches. And it gave me the chills that The Last Word used to. Note: I'm surprised that this many comments have appeared. Some are thought driven. Others sound like salt or some sort of bad rhetoric about the opponents or whatnot.(noticeably made by those with a shotgun as their primary)
Nerf Fusion Rifles
• It's the TTK. Against the majority of players, it's time to kill is one of the slowest in the game on primary weapons in both the optimal and maximum shots to kill. It does FEEL good to use though. High damage per shot, really high range, great stability when perks are active, REALLY high aim assist, and massive ammo reserve on top of perks that make it more ammo efficient then normal. But it's slow to kill is what's... well killing it's popularity. The weapon is trapped in an archetype that is just not competitive at the moment. A sure fix would be to increase the damage to ensure two tap kill on double critical. However that alone would make it overpowered, so lowering the rate of fire would also be necessary. I used to use it frequently in PvE because of it's stupid high damage and that it's great with ammo. But recently I've gotten a Lingering Song with Hammer Forged, Triple Tap and High Calibur rounds... so I haven't touched it since. Was kind of hoping for one with explosive rounds and rifle barrel.. but beggers can't be choosers.
