I remember in Year One, The Salt from the Tears of the Many laid to waste by the power of the Last Word, was superfluous enough to fill the biggest crater on the Moon. And now, it seems that Karma has returned in the form of it's sister, The First Curse. Really. This thing shreds hard.
Everyone's using the Clever Dragon now, which is cool. But, if you are proficient with Hand Cannons and are quick on the fly, give that thing a try. I have used it for the last number of Banner Matches. And it gave me the chills that The Last Word used to.
Note: I'm surprised that this many comments have appeared. Some are thought driven. Others sound like salt or some sort of bad rhetoric about the opponents or whatnot.(noticeably made by those with a shotgun as their primary)

I used to be good with hc, especially with Hawkmoon, that was my favorite. Then they did all that nerf crap and now I can't use those things
-
Because it's not consider a "meta". I use Eyasluna myself or my Hopscotch.
-
The Palindrome archetype is easier to use and as effective if not more so under normal conditions.
-
7 RepliesIt's a garbage gun with to much recoil.
-
Shhhh don't let them know
-
I've been using it since the day I got it in March. I was using it as I tried to get The Last Word (because they look similar, I REALLY wanted The Last Word. I loved the lore, the look, and the fan firing animation.) I got The Last Word. I was awful with it. I got too used to The First Curse's playstyle where you sit back and calculate and aim. I dismantled TLW. I love TFC. I just wish it looked less plain. And I wish it had Iron Sights. It adds a lot to the look. I hope they give this gun some kick ass ornaments.
-
Well half of it is because if any gun is used on a constant an it becomes a meta it will be eventually nerfed cause people will complain until it happens. so at this point I'm waiting for pulse rifle nerfs an shotgun nerfs again then a new meta will rise an so on. It's a never ending cycle cause bungie (refuses to SEPARATE PVP AND PVE) so the game will never be balanced cause of this.

4 RepliesLast word or palindrome r the only hand canons ull need
-
1 ReplyI have it...is it any good?
-
Because ... Kill times. The 22 rate of fire variant can kill the same amount of shots in less time. The same reason why most people pick grasp and clever dragon over hawsaw or blind predition.
-
How many people actually have it is the question
-
Its definitely not a weapon that you can just pick up and get many kills, you need to take time and get the hang of it, I don't use it in IB But it Hits Hard As Hell!!

2 RepliesThe First Curse is truly effective against low armor Guardians. The Last Word was disgustingly good back then, First Curse could never compare to that cancer. No range dropoff, stupidy high stability, 111 headshot ADS glitch.
-
3 RepliesUse the Lingering Word. Check my roll. High range, crazy stability, near max impact HC. It's awesome.
-
It's good if you don't have a good hand cannon with range that's part of the 81 impact archetype (Eyasluna archetype). However, it just can't beat those archetypes simply because it fires slower and doesn't do as much damage as quickly. Hand cannons that are 81 impact and have LitC can two shot most people when you get a double headshot on someone with LitC occurring, which the first curse can't do. Now if you have a ill will or lingering song with LitC, then you can two shot people still and have a higher chance to due to lower magazine size. Don't get me wrong, I used the first curse a while ago as my main and use it every so often and do good with it, but for your average player, the Eyasluna archetype is easier to use or do well with. Not only that, the first curse takes up an exotic whereas you van just use a lingering song or ill will and still do the same thing without using an exotic primary (I think their range is max as well where the first curse's range is not).
-
I love the First Curse. Enjoy using it but the reason why is because it has alot of recoil, and it still has an optimum 3 shots to kill. Which is any other handcannon. Other handcannon like imago loop, eyasluna, palindrome can do the same except they can roll with litc, range perks. ..etc. While it's fun to use, people don't want fun for the most part. They want what's best. Meta guns for example.

Agreed. Handcannons are where I stand. No surrender to those pulse rifles.
-
Easy, because the meta doesn't allow for it to be used. There are too many of these for that gun to compete: Clever Dragon Grasp of Malok Mida Last Word Palindrome Hawksaw Additionally, for some reason if you're not using a meta primary, then you're just running around with a shotgun the whole time. It's no fun to lose gun fights constantly because you want to try something different. Maybe one day Bungie will buff the other weapons to be competitive or just have a set of weapons like COD since we have a set already in play.

5 RepliesCan you reclaim the Imprecation? I really want it back

It's not bad but i got a nice ill will that is very similar to tfc

I use it for fun. It if I'm actually trying, it's time to kill is too long to be competitive. A lot of fun in private matches though

I actually really did enjoy that hand cannon for a while, but I think it might be too slow to take on some meta weapons. It lacks the range and accuracy to really be what it could be. It could use more base range, and I'd like for it to increase movement speed while aiming more than it does now. I'd like it more if instead of triple tap it got zen moment instead. I also don't care for the spinning animation when switching weapons; that makes me mad. But until bloom is removed from hand cannons, I'm not sure I care to use a weapon that would suffer greatly if a shot misses when it should have landed
-
Due to the Archetype it's in. Slowest Handcannon ttk
-
I'm pretty horrible at PvP, my stats will show that, but I've been switching between my Clever Dragon and an Ill Will I picked up that has LitC. That thing is a monster and can two tap people with low armor sometimes.
