I'm trying to figure out how I feel about the results. I'm a dual citizen canadian/american so I vote and I have an opinion but living in Canada gives me some distance which gives me a different perspective than some. I'm not surprised he won, he's had a shot since day one that has been down played the entire time. I didn't really support either of them and found that evry time I tried to have a conversation about it I found that people got dismissive or straight up angry when I mentioned the reasons Trump could win, and called a conspiracy theorist when I mentioned my fears about Hillary. Conversations were so polarized that real discourse was muddied by public opinion and emotion. Neither side seemed willing to take a good hard look at their own candidate, compounded by such a weak showing of 3rd party candidates... many of us felt cornered. The population was forced to choose between two deeply flawed options, and it felt like people turned a blind eye to their choice's flaws to make themselves feel better about their candidate. I am concerned about the next 4 years. To be honest I would be just as conflicted if Hillary won but for different reasons. Trump is being touted by the local media (here at least) as having been a vote for change. The manifestation of a public being fed up with the status quo, that Trump represents a back lash at the elite and the establishment. I don't really get this, he is one of the elite, and I think he's got some work to do to prove that he actually has the common person's best interests at heart. I can't honestly say that his rhetoric makes me comfortable, I just hope that the checks and balances of government coupled with his advisors temper his judgement. If anything I feel like this election does actually represent change. Disruption is rarely comfortable for a nation but this election cycle demonstrated at least one thing: a population that is divided along several lines that have only deepened under governments that have stagnated. Shaking things up might be just what the doctor ordered. Making a bit of a mess might actually lead to some much needed conversation, cooperation, and reorganization. Time to see how the cookie crumbles. A lot of fear mongering was done this election cycle, but things rarely end up as bad or as good as you immagine. Usually the outcome lies somewhere in the middle. Congratulations to my brothers and sisters south of the border on the completion of another election season. One man is not a country, and democracy isn't always easy. When people are so divided it's time to talk and figure things out as a country. The hardest part of a conversation that is so emotionally charged is learning to listen to things you don't want to hear.

We have stepped into war with the bombers of ISIS. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Mosqul. From what I can gather ISIS commands this city from inside. It is well protected but with the left team, we can fist through those defenses, and take out the leaders in the city and break their grip on the inhabitants.

I'm going to go on a whim here and say: The majority of forum users are glad trump won. The majority of reddit users would have preferred Hilary. Vote up if you're glad trump won.

People at my school were saying that all trump supporters are racist (my area is mostly liberal) and all I said was, "you realize that you called over half the country right?" They still tried to argue it for whatever reason but some people just listen to their parents and don't voice their own opinion.

I'm honestly glad he won. I didn't vote for him nor did I support him, but I'm loving all the rage and butt hurt across the internet. The next four years are gonna hilarious thanks to all the cry babies.
