How's it goin commanders? (Elite Dangerous)
Have done the short rare run a few times now from Witchhaul to Zoance. Got about 5 million credits and a pretty decently kitted cobra. Is anybody else getting multiple leathery eggs? I've got 15 one time and another time at 6 and another time after that at 10. So that's been nice. Wondering what I should do next? New ship, switch over to bounties for a while, or learn to mine, which I havent tried yet. Any suggestions?

If you can find a good 1 hop trade route that pays 3000 per tonne or more, you could grab a Type 6 and use that 100 tonne cargo capacity to rake in 300k per run. For bounty hunting, 5 mill will get you a nicely outfitted Diamondback Scout, Viper or if you have the rank an Imperial Courier is a ferocious little fighter. You [i]could[/i] save for a Vulture, but you will need double its cost to get a decent outfit for it. Mining, in my honest opinion you'd be best off saving another 3 million for an Asp Explorer (not the scout, its cheaper but rubbish. Your Cobra is better) + the various gubbins you'll need. Mining rigs dont come cheap, and take up a lot of internals - the Asp is the best early candidate. You can also refit it for general purpose and exploration - its a fine craft, always useful to have one handy. Finally, you could always join the ED Archive player group on these forums. We have and accept players of all experience levels. Never hurts to have backup from a frigate 😉

I'd save for an asp explorer if you're interested in exploring but otherwise I would save up for a lance if that route is good

12 RepliesYou could always bounty hunt, but I'm biased. Honestly, if you're all about making money or having something to do, I would recommend joining a player faction like ED Archive (Justicars of Helios in-game). It adds a completely new dimension to the game and you can make friends along the way.
