this has become a very hot topic, everyday ill see another saying they were attacked. and they lost there match. yes it happens but not as frequent as people say on here.
was it an attack or was just a network error?
today im going tell you how you can tell if youve truly been attacked.
1st you'll see your now offline.
2nd it will be hard to get back online, without messing with your connection.
3rd unless you have a separate internet for your console, youll see your entire house become corrupted.
4th all internet linked to the account( wifi devices connected) will be slower or not work when connected to the attacked modem
5th this wont go away on its own
6th you must cleanse the attacked internet device(modem or router, or central wired system) the easiest way is to reset it. if that doesnt work then you were hit by someone who has planted a seed into you device which it assessed your internet from. you must reset that device to get rid that seed
next time you get lagged out of a game just loose connection, but everything else in your house works know you werent attacked just a connection issue. these are common when large memory is being sent through your signal to another then going back ( in that cycle ). it sucks but it happens when theres a strain on the two connects it cuts one end off.
EDIT: since this a semi long post here your potato

Signed. 2 weeks in a row actually :(

Doesn't matter, Bungie isn't going to do anything to cheaters. They say they are un hopes of keeping their player base, but they never will. They are afraid if they issue bans that they will lose players.
-
That same shit happen while I was running strikes, I thought it was Activision server shit
-
Thanks for the clarification. My issue with connection tho is that destiny needs less than 2mb of speed to work as intended. I'm running 150mb speed yet this issue still occurs. I refuse to believe it's just connection issues

8 RepliesYet it happens a lot more that people like you claims it does... There are several known groups of people that openly admit to DDOSing people, and have been doing it since year 1 trials of Osiris first launched. DDOS attacks in crucible are rampant, stop protecting the cheating pieces of trash. Let them get their ban

5 RepliesJust got ddosed, any solutions to prevent it? VPN came up in my search, would it work?
-

Edited by Morton: 11/6/2016 12:57:44 PMI have not been dosed, but a member of my fireteam has whilst playing trials.

2 RepliesOr your broke ass has the cheapest package that comes with a shitty connection and you like to just call it ddos because you don't like to remind yourself you're broke and can't afford high end connection. I have time Warner cable the 300mb package and have never been cut offlune besides by bungie when the servers go to the trash.

we got ddos a few weeks ago in trials, it wiped the internet out in my house, also completely destroyed my new tp link adaptors

4 RepliesEdited by Kornby: 11/6/2016 1:19:11 AMMy router cycled automatically... then it came back online. It wasn't even off long enough to interrupt my wife's netflix

4 RepliesSo basically destiny has poor planing for their online game and the effecs/strains on normal connections.

When I lose connection mid trials game I don't suspect fowl play. My internet is shit and I know it. Anyone who DoS' me is probably somehow going to improve my internet stability and speed XD

3 RepliesEdited by Sleepysnipersloth: 11/6/2016 9:10:41 AManyone thinking DOS and DDOS are separate things apparently cant use google. They are one and the same. Google Peer to peer DDOS and it tells you straight up it will disconnect you from the host, kicking you to orbit but not logging you out of playstation/xboxlive. This isnt a "ddos" its a "lagswitch" If you didnt get disconnected from your internet on your console, it wasnt some tech savy ninja. Thats why its "hard" for bungo to catch these guys, its not them kicking you- its you losing connection. Good thing my steak could use some salt, because i hear the saltstorm a coming.

5 RepliesTwo D's, dumbasses. Distributed Denial of Service.

Checkpoint in Trials would solve the problem.

What if the following happens. Both me and one of my teammates in trials loses our internet connection at the exact same time (we also live in different countries). The internet doesn't work on my phone or anything. After about five minutes my wifi starts working again and it's back to normal. Same goes for my teammate.
-
I got ddossed back at the beginning of year 2. We were playing our game for 8 wins and my whole team got ddossed 1 at a time. My internet wasn't working properly for the rest of the night
-
7 RepliesI have a question OP. My internet has been very sporadic, it disconnects on all devices very often in one day. Would this be from a previous DDOS attack? Or is my internet just shit...

here comes the salty know it alls
