So I played about 130 hours of Skyrim back in the day. Never got the dlc. I quit when my Thieves Guild quest glitched out and couldn't be done. I do need a good singleplayer game on Xbone. And I don't have my 360 anymore so I have no way to play Skyrim. Is the graphical improvement and dlc worth it? Also I don't care much for mods. I like to take in the experience as is. And probably won't do the mods until I have completed the game and it's expansions.

Considering you already played it, thus got a feel for what it has to offer then likewise liked it, you should definitely get it again. Plus the dlc adds a lot more things to do. I didn't care much more about mod support either but I'm having fun re exploring the game once more regardless.

7 RepliesThe one good thing about skyrim, you'll never have the same experience twice. Always worth a replay. Amd the mods are great. If you wanna stick to vanilla gameplay, you can still get some graphics mods tail make the game look even better
-
If you have countless hours to put into a game then go with skyrim.

24 RepliesSkyrim > witcher3 > darksouls3

1 ReplyIts worth it as you get the dlcs for free and better graphics but im more a multiplayer type of guy
-
It's worth it. Especially for the excellent dlc you missed out on.

Edited by Phunkr: 11/4/2016 11:37:39 PMIf you're not really looking for mods, it's not worth shelling out $60. Even with mods, it's not worth shelling out $60. Pete Hines comment on the matter of the remaster price made it seem as though Bethesda made every mod and offered them to players out of the kindness in their hearts. The majority (99.99%) of mods are fan-made. Sure they offer value, but it's entirely free. It'd be like if Bethesda sold TES6 at $80 because they felt totally free fan-made mods was worth giving themselves an extra $20 per game.

5 RepliesDo you like vampires? I only just started the remaster, but this Better Vampires mod seems awesome, so far! ^-^

The game when it first came out was worth $60 now you can get and visual upgrade all dlc and mods for the initial starting price I'd say hell yeah it's worth it
-
It's worth it. The mods are awesome, and the dlc added a lot to the game.
-
Down to you really but with mods it's worth it... although the remaster is basically a modded version of the original any way
-
Get it!! Totally worth it. I had like a 1000 hours into the 360 version and now I'm playing it all again still enjoying it just as much back then
-
It's only worth $60 if you've never played it and it's hardly a remaster. Textures, draw distance and character models are all terrible and haven't been updated whatsoever.
-
3 RepliesIt's the same game with different lighting. Honestly, if you haven't played The Witcher 3 yet, pick that up instead.
-
I thought it would be a waste until 5 seconds before I bought it. It was 100% worth, and I haven't even tried mods or DLC yet. (I put a good amount of time in before as well)
-
Got 60+ hours on 3 different characters back on 360. I see myself doing it again.
-
It's still has all of it's old bugs so if that turns you off from the game then beware. It looks way better and it loads way quicker. The DLC are pretty great. I would recomend it to anyone who didn't put 3,000 hours in it already.
-
Yes. It is worth it, you haven't even done everything yet.

17 RepliesI loved the witcher... but I find skyrim so much more fun ... I've never played skyrim and so far to me! Witcher 3 PS4 < skyrim remastered PS4
-
2 RepliesWORTH IT. If i could skip school and play it all day i would
-
Oh it's quite worth it IMO. I probably have 10x the time in the 360 version with all DLCs, and it's still a refreshing experience getting back into it. The textures, particle, and lighting effects are much better compared to last generation. Then again, I am quite biased of TES series. :)

2 RepliesIf you have a PC, just get the original Skyrim. It is cheaper and effectively the exact same thing. If not, then go ahead. I thought I heard there was a price drop but I have yet to see it. I would get it on Xbone if I were you due to more 'mods' but it's your preference.

I've not noticed much of a difference in terms of graphical quality. That said, I'm really enjoying playing through it again, and I never played the dlc before, so there's that.

Dlc is worth it and don't shy away from the mods. I did at first but then I started looking at them and found ones that just enhance the experience. I have the unofficial bug patch installed along with open cities which takes away city loading screens. Haven't added anything to huge because like you said I want the normal experience and not a modded experience
