Just played WITH a ddosser
So I posted on destinylfg that I've never been flawless and that I was looking for help. I got an invite from a guy who said he was sure he could get me there. He picked up a 3rd also off lfg who wasn't much better than me. But he was convinced he could get us flawless, so we gave it a try. Our first 2 games one player on the enemy team lagged out each game. On our 3rd game a guy lagged out again. But these guys were really good and even with 2 left they went up 4-1. Then another lagged out, and the last one lagged out soon after. I feel -blam!-ing dirty. I told the guy that was doing it that I didn't want to win like this, and I left. Obviously I reported him. If anybody from bungie wants to ask me any questions I took a screen shot so I have his gt saved.
Edit- A lot of you are asking me to name and shame, but that goes against Bungies ToS. You can look it up yourself tho. My recent trials games on my hunter.
Also a few are saying I deserve a ban too. I just wanted to do what I could to make sure this doesn't happen to others. I reported and am posting here in hopes that it gets seen by bungie. They don't always respond but we know they monitor the forums like crazy.
A couple people suggested that I not use (or don't deserve) the emblem on my hunter. I got it Friday, 3 days before this happened. And it's not the flawless emblem. It's a festival of the lost emblem for getting to 5 wins. You can check my grimore, I've still never been to the lighthouse.
Lastly, a few of you were kind enough to offer to help me try for flawless next weekend, but unfortunately we aren't on the same console (I'm on xbone). Thank you very much for the offers tho. The community needs more awesome people like you.

Thanks to an awesome guy I found off this post I finally got my first flawless. It was an awesome experience! At 5 wins we faced a stacked team. One guy was in the top 25 in the world. We were down 3-4 and he and I were last guardian standing. And I beat him! The match point round I was last standing again against 2 guys and I pulled off a great clutch. I feel like a million bucks. The videos are saved on my xbox profile. And to top it off I got blind perdition from my first time opening the lighthouse chest! I can't name my teammates but THANK YOU SO MUCH!

14 RepliesPersonally I believe this whole Ddos thing wouldn't happen if you didn't have the same top tier players goin to the lighthouse every weekend carrying people, standing in the way of people who hasn't been....bungie should make it where if you been to the lighthouse on all 3 characters, aswell as ip address then you can't enter anymore til next weekend. Thus giving other guys a chance and increasing the numbers of lighthouse runs.... because those numbers on trials report website are horrible...out of 2 million people 10 to 20 percent went to the lighthouse...sad man

Sorry man there is a lot of negativity below. I can see both sides of the fence on this on this argument. Outside of doing a analysis of your trials matches how can you really prove the conversation of a dos attack didn't take place prior to the matches starting? It sounds like you did the right thing once you figured out what was going on but the question on Bungie's side would be "when did you find out" which would be hard to prove either for or against you. Hopefully, they take your reporting/posting actions into consideration if it comes to that point.

22 RepliesThe solution to all of this garbage is for bad players to STOP asking for carries. Practice and get better. I haven't been flawless since year one and if I never go back then so be it. The ONLY reason this is so prevalent is people are paying for the service.

Good for you! (no sarcasm intended or implied) I cannot stand cheaters, even when they are on my team, and if I suspect cheating on my team I am going to report them (and have). But in 6v6 it's often hard to tell who is cheating. I had a game a few days ago where for the first time I lagged out while my team was losing, just as the other team was about to get both heavies... got the usual Connecting to Destiny servers... When I got back in the game my team had both heavies and the other team lost pretty badly I think. I didn't even get to help much since I was stuck in the black lag screen for quite a few minutes, listening to my team get heavies and destroy the other team. I'm guessing shenanigans but I had no proof, but recorded the game anyway. If I had One Drive space I would upload it.

If I was in the situation I wouldn't wanna play that way either I perfer fair fights (even if the enemy team is a bunch of jerks) I think you did the right thing in my opinion.

3 RepliesThe guy that posted this still cheated just cause someone goes and robs 5 or 3 of the intended 9 houses and has a change of heart doesn't change the fact he is also a cheater and worse tries to take some made up moral high ground when he himself profited out of the cheating he knew what was happening after the 2nd match he just wanted festival loot this guy honestly deserves the ban as well.

The community needs more awesome people like you.[/quote] Just because someone goes on a few robberies and has a change of heart and snitches out the rest of his thieves doesn't change what they did or the punishment they deserve you knew what was happening after the second match but you choose to stay for the 5th or 3rd match( if you used boons) that gave you armor and the Halloween emblem so you honestly deserve that emblem taken alway or a ban but bungie is pretty bad at handling cheaters wouldn't be surprised if these people keep on doing it. You're scum and deserve nothing I hope karma comes and bites you in the butt.
