Edit 4:
So, I have read many peoples' posts saying that Bungie should charge money for additional Vault Space.
I have created a poll below to see what everybody thinks about this suggestion.
IMHO paying for vault space (if you need it or are willing to pay) would be a better investment than the RNG loot packages that are currently on-sale at Eververse.
Here is the link to the poll: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/217116844
Edit 3:
In response to the people that don't need vault space, and have played since vanilla.
1. That's great, I'm happy for you. But please don't tell me or anyone else how to play the game (to delete stuff or to not be a hoarder/collector). As said below this is a loot based game so we should have a place to store our loot.
2. Increasing vault space has absolutely no negative effect on you, so please just go be toxic somewhere else.
Edit 1:
1. In response to "In Vanilla, we only had 20 spaces in the vault." You are correct, however....
A. In vanilla there was much less legendary gear.
B. Although there was only 20 spots in the vault, we have inventory space on each character. 27 spaces for weapons on each character totaling 81 spaces for weapons. 45 spaces for armor per character, totaling 135 armor spaces. So 20+81+135= 236 total inventory spaces in Vanilla.
C. Year 3 total inventory space for weapons and armor... 108 (vault armor) + 108 {vault weapons) + 81 + 135= 432 total inventory spaces for armor and weapons.
Bottom Line: 236 spaces to start was actually very good. But now we don't have even double that amount of space (432), but the game, loot, and content has more than doubled. In the beginning we had 1 Raid, now we have 4.
2. In response to the people saying "delete your stuff":
This is a loot based game, A majority of people play the game for the Loot. When Bungie brings back old strikes, why do we play them? Answer: for the New Loot. We should not have to delete our loot, to make room for new loot, that's just asinine.
Edit 2:
3. Many of us have already deleted all Exotics (because you can get them back w/ Kiosk) and duplicate weapons/armor, I currently have no exotics in the vault. I have 9 Exotic Weapons across all 3 characters in inventory. And 6 exotic Armor pieces across all 3 characters in inventory. I keep no duplicates at all.

I am not going to bother anyone w/ a long email and math but I see folks stating they have 3 characters and have all Raid items and still do not have a Vault Space problem. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE? I have 3 different characters. I have already had to delete items I liked a lot, including Raid gear. I am now at the point that I have 2-4 slots available on each section of the vault. I have been focusing on my Hunter in Rise of Iron and using the Titan and Warlock as vault. I am desperate for Vault Space! I have posted many request for Vault Space to Bungie on this Forum with a lot of support. For the ones who do not want it or need it, good for you but do not come telling to what seems the large portion of Destiny Community that they are wrong. More Vault Space? Yes, please (yesterday).
-
Just delete stuff. There's no point in keeping obsolete gear that you'll never use again or guns that you'll never get around to using
-
3 RepliesNow here is a common sense place for Micro Transactions if I have ever heard of one. Charge $10 per page and your Vault could be as big as you like, as long as you are willing to pay.
-
5 RepliesWe don't need more vault space. Get rid of some crap.

I'm honestly surprised Bungie hasn't sold more inventory/vault space by now. Seems to be the kind of petty, money grubbing thing they'd do to add a little more to their bottom line. They can do it, they just don't want to. I'm sure in a future update they'll do this. Now that quite a few people (At least on the forums) have complained about it, great way for them to make extra cash.

3 RepliesI would even be willing to offer Bungie a simple idea, create a Raid Kiosk. The same thing could also be for Trials and Iron Banner. That would greatly reduce the amount of items in our vault.
-
Not to many god rolls and if you do want more vault space then you got a hoarding problem lol I also been playing from day one and I don't have my vault maxed to much crappy weapons in destiny
-
2 RepliesWhilst we are discussing the vault. Can someone please explain the logic of the latest item added to the vault being on the 3rd page. You now, the item you have actually gone to the vault to collect. Surely it wouldn't be rocket science for the partially filled page to be the first page you saw..

3 RepliesEdited by OopsYourself: 11/1/2016 4:33:00 AMI don't understand why people attack ideas that don't negatively effect them. I see similar responses with similar topics like xur selling exotic shards. It doesn't hurt you, so why are you so against it? Lol
-
If the rumors about destiny 2 are true it won't matter if it's increased or not, all the gear y'all are hoarding will go away anyway lol.
-
I agree. If they can't create more vault space... create more kiosks . One for the raids ,one for iron banner, one for trials of osiris. Problem solved... if they could create these kiosks, I could delete my achievements (fatebringer, voc, the scholar, the messenger, og hopscotch, old raid armor, nice hunter cloaks, etc)

This may sound horrible and I'm sure I will catch some flak for this, but I've slowed down my playing of the game because of the limited space in my vault. Given that I only have a short periods of time to play the game as it is, I haven't had the time or inclination to go through my vault and cleanse my legendaries to the level that I can continue to acquire more weapons and armor through normal game play. The easiest path given my time constraints has been to find another game to play until I can devote the couple hours or more that need for some garden cleaning. If I were to have enough slots that I don't have to spend so much time managing my vault, I would have the time to devote to the game again.

WE DOUBLED THE VAULT SPACE. The only thing that got people excited
-
Agreed! As a collector of lore, extra space would be very useful.
-
6 RepliesThey should take the vault out. There would be no more crying. Adapt or die.
-
Yeah, add more space, and give us a rudimentary sort ability. Three pages of weapons is already getting cumbersome to look through but we need more space available for the folk who like to collect full sets of armors
-
6 RepliesEdited by ScotchEggsRules: 11/1/2016 7:50:46 AMWe have a place to store loot. If it's not enough for you then adjust...simple. Edit: What's asinine is keeping things that you'll never use.

4 RepliesBump. I'm running out of Exotics and old Raid Gear to dismantle. I just dismantled Vision of Confluence yesterday. Next is Praetorian Foil and then... dare I say it... Fatebringer. 😰
-
First off you only need the extra vault space if you're literally hoarding all guns from whites to exotics
-
2 RepliesMost of us need this and most wolling to drop silver
-
1 ReplyIt baffles my mind why people comment and say we don't need more vault space. Why do you care if more space is added? How does it effect anybody in negative way? Just don't get it. I've deleted so much stuff I didn't want to delete. All my old raid gear and the vast majority of the guns got dismantled. Still makes me sad. I wanted to keep the stuff I grinded hard for.
-
I agree with more vault space, the people who say we don't need it are the people who only have 1 armor set and 1-2 sets of weapons for the whole game. I prefer to keep my armor/weapon sets from raids as well as all my perfectly rolled weapons and armor for their situations rather than deleting them for vault space and wishing I had them later
-
1 ReplyI had full vog and ce armour sets for all 3 classes as well as all the guns from both raids stored in my vault up until about a week ago when I got pissed off with working with 2 or 3 slots of vault space so I sharded everything year 1 lol I've been playing since day one, I'm a collector/hoarder too but at this point I wouldn't hold your breath about that stuff being made relevant anytime soon or more vault space for that matter
-
2 RepliesNo you can't. That make you mad? What are you gonna do play The Division? No Man's Sky? Or one of the other dozens of game that were supposed to kill Destiny? Nope just like me you'll just keep at it. Just delete those items you will never use again. Go ahead do it...yeah me neither.
-
1 ReplyHey, if you pay Bungie to dedicate the resources to a vault increase I'm for it. But there's enough vault space already, so if you want that luxury you should have to pay for it.
