-I remade the post with sarcastic title to get trending because my post was being buried like usual by Bungie.
-Skip to the end(Bold text) if TLDR.
Bungie needs to fix Festival of the Lost. And feels really like Bungie wants Destiny 1 to die a slow death.
This micro-transaction bullshit is outrageous. The worst thing I seen you guys do. And you have done some Basic shit in the past.
There should be other ways to get the Treasure stuff, not just buying the Treasure boxes. Even in Warframe, you can get mostly everything you want using in-game, not purchasing. Bungie completely ignores other micro-transaction systems, and decided to bar people completely from getting stuff, other than 3 free chances per account.
The Treasure bags should drop Legendary masks from last year at least. They went too far, because now people that spend $$$ are getting Ghosts with high stat rolls from treasure boxes.
And what some are spending money on are these Ghosts, and they are damn rare and look freaking cute. You literally just went and made it so people with $$$ can buy a bunch of stuff to improve their stat rolls. This is not even the main issue with Festival of the Cost. The problem is lack of new content.
The entire event is locked behind the paywall or the cool stuff in it. At least with Crimson doubles, we got the ghost for free.
Even my name is BYF is saying it, and he is usually #1 Bungie defender.
Literally no content in this update other than something that feels like work.
The broom is cool, but you guys need to add more content. Not just reskin shit.
Same thing happened last year before Call of Duty came out. You are basically forcing people to stop playing when Activision releases their next game. Are you going to introduce SBBM back so that Crucible sucks too, or some other thing that lowers drop rates on loot to put the Nail in the Coffin that is Destiny?

Bottom line Bungie. If you are listening. I know you bury my posts since I spam a lot, and troll. But anyways I still have legitimate opinions. The bottom line is: you should add other ways to get Treasures you want, through grinding or doing Crucible.
Why not let masks drop as rewards from Crucible? Yea make it rare, but at least its a fair trade. At this point you cannot fix it, but at least drop Legendary masks for us.
This micro-transaction bullshit is outrageous. The worst thing I seen you guys do. And you have done some Basic shit in the past. And the main thing is add more content to the game. All this time you spend designing masks, you can be making new enemies, new weapons, new missions. Masks are great, but if its the only content, it's not good content.
Look at the article from Ign: http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/10/31/destiny-devs-talk-space-travel-pc-and-microtransactions - back from 2013. URK said they wouldn't nickel and dime us. But that's exactly how I feel with this Festival of the Lost Event. Almost the entire event is locked behind RNG Paywall. Why are you doing this Bungie?

I know this doesn't help anything, but I really want to say it: I told you so. As the argument raged last year, so many people were ready to get behind Bungie. I, and many others, warned it was a slippery slope, and this is just the next step. Silververse continues to become a real problem.

3 RepliesAnyone notice that since microtransactions started in destiny, there has been less content? Year 1- Full game, dark below dlc(raid), house of wolves dlc(prison of elders) Year 2- Taken king dlc(raid) Year 3- Rise of Iron dlc(raid) Sooo, we get two raids and an arena event the first year, and less then that the next TWO years?!?! I thought that the whole idea behind the micro transactions was to fuel new content for us to play. Instead, all it seems to fuel is more cosmetic items.
-
1 ReplyThey should actually do it one of ways. Either make this stuff obtainable in game, stuck behind the RNG wall OR make it purchasable (the purely cosmetic stuff) but a specific price for a specific item... no RNG. It shouldn't take someone $100 to get a useless mask!
" It seems like Bungie wants Destiny to die a slow death."
Can't have you being all nostalgic and holding on to "the original" indefinitely when they release the sequel.

9 RepliesMicro transactions are supposed to fund future events; but when they put items behind a pay and RNG wall,it's pure greed
-
Bump. Micro transactions will only get worse. It's basic economics. The more successful a product is, the more of that product the producer will try to push to market until the market will no longer support it. Sadly, people are still gambling at Eververse.
-
Bump, and will keep popping back to bump this

Wait, they did exactly what they said they wouldn't do? Imagine that. Bungie I appreciate the heads up on not needing to buy destiny 2 since I see the pay to win starting to come through.
-
Wow you keep getting buried

After shelling out £25 for the rise of iron and finishing it in 2 weeks doing the raid which was easy now I enjoyed the festival of the lost last year! This year shit!! I'm done -blam!- destiny had enough of no content I'll come back when there is more!

1 ReplyAll the masks should've been obtainable fer sure. New consumables should've been available from the goody bags as well, maybe at a rare drop. I think the other stuff is fine in the Treasures, but there should be a guarantee at one of "possible" drops and adding more possible drops to those boxes. Just my pleb opinion tho, I know Bungie is a business not a buddy. It's a little sad how horrendously money grubby the event comes off tho.
