-I remade the post with sarcastic title to get trending because my post was being buried like usual by Bungie.
-Skip to the end(Bold text) if TLDR.
Bungie needs to fix Festival of the Lost. And feels really like Bungie wants Destiny 1 to die a slow death.
This micro-transaction bullshit is outrageous. The worst thing I seen you guys do. And you have done some Basic shit in the past.
There should be other ways to get the Treasure stuff, not just buying the Treasure boxes. Even in Warframe, you can get mostly everything you want using in-game, not purchasing. Bungie completely ignores other micro-transaction systems, and decided to bar people completely from getting stuff, other than 3 free chances per account.
The Treasure bags should drop Legendary masks from last year at least. They went too far, because now people that spend $$$ are getting Ghosts with high stat rolls from treasure boxes.
And what some are spending money on are these Ghosts, and they are damn rare and look freaking cute. You literally just went and made it so people with $$$ can buy a bunch of stuff to improve their stat rolls. This is not even the main issue with Festival of the Cost. The problem is lack of new content.
The entire event is locked behind the paywall or the cool stuff in it. At least with Crimson doubles, we got the ghost for free.
Even my name is BYF is saying it, and he is usually #1 Bungie defender.
Literally no content in this update other than something that feels like work.
The broom is cool, but you guys need to add more content. Not just reskin shit.
Same thing happened last year before Call of Duty came out. You are basically forcing people to stop playing when Activision releases their next game. Are you going to introduce SBBM back so that Crucible sucks too, or some other thing that lowers drop rates on loot to put the Nail in the Coffin that is Destiny?

Bottom line Bungie. If you are listening. I know you bury my posts since I spam a lot, and troll. But anyways I still have legitimate opinions. The bottom line is: you should add other ways to get Treasures you want, through grinding or doing Crucible.
Why not let masks drop as rewards from Crucible? Yea make it rare, but at least its a fair trade. At this point you cannot fix it, but at least drop Legendary masks for us.
This micro-transaction bullshit is outrageous. The worst thing I seen you guys do. And you have done some Basic shit in the past. And the main thing is add more content to the game. All this time you spend designing masks, you can be making new enemies, new weapons, new missions. Masks are great, but if its the only content, it's not good content.
Look at the article from Ign: http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/10/31/destiny-devs-talk-space-travel-pc-and-microtransactions - back from 2013. URK said they wouldn't nickel and dime us. But that's exactly how I feel with this Festival of the Lost Event. Almost the entire event is locked behind RNG Paywall. Why are you doing this Bungie?

1 ReplyMeh, haven't bought silver, never will. But thank you to all the people who do!
-
6 RepliesYou're an idiot. Microtransactions are optional. End of story. You have no effect on the community so to say that bungie wants to bury your post is laughable and delusional. Crybaby

When Activation's a.m. call with Bungie goes live, best believe the bast stats on the FotL forecast is going to reveal execution on various metrics. What about these connectivity issues tho?! I feel another DoS is happening ri- "since9two left the game"

I understand why your crying, but you need to understand one thing. Expect more of this in video games, cause it works and makes developers more money. Developers make games to make money. That's it. Don't buy it if it bothers you. Crying about it on here won't ever stop it.

Who even cares about masks (or festival of the lost for that matter)? They do literally nothing for you, and it's not like there's anything fun when it comes to obtaining, using them etc
-
4 RepliesYou said they should spend their time making new enemies/content instead of masks as if masks were hard to make, it there something a kid could draw
-
100% agree

4 RepliesI would have liked to have gotten the Ghost Ghost, but I didn't get it from my free treasures and I'm not interested in buying treasures. To me it's not a big deal, in two months I won't care just like all the other special items they've put behind a pay to get requirement. It's really not a loss for me, everything in this game has been completely disposable every time something else comes around.
-
Maybe I should not have to pvp.
-
8 RepliesBest part is it's pure profit. Unless you are dumb enough to believe it's "funding the live team."
-
Leave this game, trust me bro it's only gonna get worse. Destiny has been given a death sentence and it is now being carried out by bungie.
-
Maybe they have something planned for next week or for Monday, it's only been out like 5 days.
-
The counter-argument to this is that none of this matters, because all of this stuff is purely cosmetic, and something as dumb as paper masks doesn’t need an elaborate system in place for them to be earned. If players care that much about a fundamentally useless item, Bungie should be allowed to charge them to their hearts' content.
6 RepliesI spent $10 and got what I wanted. It's fine

Edited by TYCUS D-001: 10/29/2016 8:43:32 PMStill, i pay with real money to get virtual goodies, no regrets at all.

10 RepliesReally my only problem with this year is the candy sacks, unless you're new there is no point in even bothering to fill them. It would have been nice if they at least put a chance of getting one of the new consumables from them since most of us already have way too many leftover Jackolytes and Flight of Shadows from the last two years.
-
8 RepliesI don't see any issue with it.. Yeah it's more tough to obtain masks and ghosts by just playing the game but it's free, and since u obviously enjoy playing that should be fun for u. Buying silver and depending on those packages is like "paying not to play." If people want to spend money, that is none of our business.
-
6 RepliesThey don't care they are counting 100s of thousands of dollars of people broken hearts.
-
6 RepliesAll the new cool consumables are behind a pay wall. You only get 2 OLD consumables from candy bags... if you don't buy silver you have 1-3 treasures of the lost that's only 2-6 consumables... I mean common... Plus.... the pumpkin head is Still bugged while running!!!!! Can't fix that at least?!?!
-
More like Festival of the Cost obviously Only THREE festival of the lost treasure packs one per character after a quest Only get 1, 2, or 3 new consumables at best Made the fire wolf and cute ghosts, sparrow as only possible items They included old masks in the new treasures of the lost so when u get duplicates u only get 3 silver dust Literally 20 dollars for 2000 silver and then some Many people with bad RNG end up getting not what they want and wasting money when they said there doing these micro transactions in order to fund more free events ...um last time I checked, every event that came with new content had a paywall except crimson days though I can't remember fully if there was stuff to buy Even destiny youtubers who literally suck bungies dick have at least acknowledged how you have to spend money in order to even receive any substantial amount of the 'new' material that they put out Look at the festival of the lost trailer, if those amount of dislikes and disagreement among the community doesn't show you there's something wrong with this event, then I dont know what will tbh /:

6 RepliesWho cares. The only ones that are mad are the broke dick whiners that want to buy stuff but can't afford it.

1 ReplyJust continue not to buy shit. Bungie pushes micro transactions since that is the one area in their game that produces the least amount of money (just my guess) and when a business sees a major potential to try and increase the most lacking part of their game, they are going to try and fix it. I'm assuming Tess has had very low business since she arrived. Who logs on to Destiny to do pack openings? No one dumps 100 or so dollars casually on Silver because why would you? Things like this will stick out more to Bungie rather than the whole DDoS situation, or just how poorly the game is designed. It's a for-profit company, so they are going to do whatever it takes to make an extra dollar. Even if you despise it, they don't care. All I say is continue not to buy shit. Are money isn't going to anything to Destiny. This live event pretty much proves that our money isn't going anywhere. It's Activision, probably the lowest gaming company out there (lowest as in lowest amount of -blam!-s given to its Audience)

12 RepliesEdited by ElderWolfWalker: 10/29/2016 2:44:13 PMTime to start the #SilverSellout Oh? You don't think activision will listen? They made the weapons from black ops 3 supply drops easier to obtain due to many youtubers that stopped buying the supply drops and spreading the #BlackMarketBlackout We can change this as a community.
URK said they wouldn't nickel and dime us.
Bungie says a lot of things.

Edited by ZetaScorpii: 10/29/2016 7:31:34 PMDear God Destiny is gonna turn into Star Wars the Old Republic's cash shop!!!! This is VERY bad for gamers IMO. Get RNG microtransactions the -blam!- out of gaming! It's exploitation at its fullest! I don't mind microtransactions in games, but they should be direct purchase only.
