Crota's End (Heroic) - new mechanic or bugged?
I was trying to finish this raid with some friend last night but we kept experiencing:
(1) Crota becoming immune to rockets and not taking a knee (leading to a lot of sword bearer deaths)
(2) Crota rising immediately after one sword hit (i.e. 2 seconds after taking a knee)
(3) Crota taking 6 sword hits and not dying
Is this a new mechanic or a bug in our raid?

This raid has been bugged since its inception...and never been addressed.

Lag is the real raid boss in crota's end.

This stuff has always been a problem. Happens every now an then. Best fix is go to orbit and return until its ok. Try switching fireteam leader in orbit too.

Went to help a friend get crux and same thing would happen. (Randomly) took us like 7 tries to get it when I know I'm capable of beating him as a much weaker light level. The damn thing is glitching

That's nothing on the 1st day of his release he sometimes drops down to come say hi or walks in to the spawning room and says hi needless to say he's a super friendly guy lol.......

Crotas end is the glitches thing ever to happen to destiny, I would assume it was a bug and not that they spent time updating a no longer relevant raid for god knows what reason.

6 RepliesCool tip if it hasn't been patched and you are new to the raid is that Razors Edge can go through the crystal's room barriers at the beginning of the crota fight. Pop that shit and you can kill all the acolytes before the barrier even drops. I was shown that insanely late but I thought it was the coolest thing ever.

1 ReplyCrota is just a very glitchy boss. He likes to do his own thing basically. I would definitely say your problem had something to do with your connection as I ran crota last night solo and it took me ~20m

I soloed it last weekend: invis, raze-lighter, two sword strikes, invis, raze, four sword strikes = dead Crota.

Not only their fault, also Bungies for loading raid boss assets from a server rather than disc/console. (most of you won't get this, but it's been proven. Explains why the glitchiest parts of all the raids has been the final bosses). Got to orbit and try again.

He will be immune immediately after coming back up. He will not allow 6 sword hits in one phase. You have to use swipes as well. On last hit before death he tries to stand up immediately
