Shotguns have pretty bad range, you just had low hp

Next time you get one shot from across the room, check to see if you took damage first, most likely you did its basically an insurance policy to insure the one shot, because other wise you might need to follow up melee, and if you time it wrong, thats a sticky nade/fusion/other shotty right to the face Remember to pepper the prey shotty warriors Edit: User KSigKid had these words and vid to share in the matter [quote]I'm so glad I made this video over the weekend.   • Shotguns have overwhelmingly changed pvp in destiny. The fact that many people use shotguns as a crutch Is disappointing. Have any of you ever gone into rumble? It's hard to use a sniper against 5 other shotguns.j I would prefer if they weren't buffed

              • Yes and no, most shotguns do have bad range. But some shotguns break the mold and have max shotgun range. Which is a little unfair to the noobs. Noobs as in they don't know how to counter a warrior. And before you say anything. I think most shotguns need a range buff. I also want most primary's to get buffed. But that's just me.

              • Fusion rifles destroy shotguns especially the one from archons forge. I don't understand why people want shotguns nerfed do you really want the meta where people camp spawn all match with snipers?

[b]Counterpoint: [/b] Getting killed from across the room [i]with [u]full [/u]health[/i] by Universal Remote, Conspiracy Theory D, Party Crasher + 1, or Matador64 as a max-armor titan, however, is another story. I've been OHK'ed by max range shotguns from across the room with full health and w/ the highest armor setting on a striker titan when playing [i]normal [/i]crucible (no light-level advantages). Now, lag could be a factor, but I've seen it happen a number of times. During this past iron banner, for example, I was OHK'ed by a shotgun from 50 feet away by a titan at roughly the same light-level as me (like + or - 2 points of light). He was using a Matador. (I do think he was green-bar lagging, however. I have a 1gb fiber, hard-wired connection, so lag is [i]usually [/i]not my problem.)

                  • I honestly have to laugh at all these people thinking they're op. At max you can stand 3-4 m and die at full HP. Any farther and you're at the mercy of how much armor the enemy has. In year 1 you could hit people at 20m. I don't understand everyone's need to nerf these again, the problem comes that primaries can neither stop a rusher or a sniper.

                    • Imo, in the right hands, fusions and even sidearms are more OP than shotguns. The only thing where shotguns perform better than other weapons is corner camping.

                        • They do and ppl refuse to believe it because for some reason shotguns are so hated in Destiny thx to big YouTubers and Streamers. In my opinion high rate of fire Snipers and Shotguns should get more bullets in reserve because what's the point of using them if you have the high impact ones. Shotguns phantom bullets need a fix. I'm always using a side arm because shotguns and fusions are inconsistent.

                                Shotguns are not over powered. I agree with that statement. However, they ARE extremely strong in the current META. This is mainly do to the movement and class abilities throughout the 3 available. Few abilities in the game make using snipers/fusion rifles more advantageous. (Only ones I can think of are quick draw and keen scout.) Problem doesn't exist in class abilities either, problem stems from the fact that primaries are systematically nerfed, and as a result, weapons that one shot get much stronger. The current shotgun would get absolutely destroyed during the thorn META. You would be punished for blindly rushing without proper caution. Obviously a buff to primaries that extreme isn't the solution either, but the fact that low impact autos, the true counter to shotguns, have range drop off start at 15 meters (literally a slide shotgun melee away) doesn't make a whole lot of sense either. Autos and hand cannons need some love, BAD. Handle the exotic hand cannons separately as to not create that META again.

                                • Shotguns are fine, the problem is there's still too much special ammo. And, the other specials aren't very good. Nerf the ammo, buff snipers, and fusions. The ammo nerf would buff sidearms. High impact primaries need work, also.

                                        You must be kidding. During IB i kept being one-shotted by shottys from rediculess range all the time. I was forced to play shotty instead of fusion or sniper. Lucky there still is Plan C. I now became a shotty player with the occasional use of Plan C. I started out as a sniper player.
